Some folks treat their hobbies as such...but I don't spend every waking moment with them. The main ones now are the BBS (obviously ), amateur radio (doing traffic nets daily and nightly), square dancing (mostly behind the scenes, with the website and Editor of a publication), and Gospel Poetry writing. I basically do the minimum needed with each one, then I have to get away from the computer for a bit. The dry corneas, that made me sell my car, and quit driving six months ago, can really give me fits for all the time I'm at the computer...and the Systane Eye Drops aren't helping all that much. At least I'm in no immediate danger of going blind, even though I do have "suspect glaucoma". I had to make an ambulance run to the ER Friday morning, having a rapid heart rate (tachycardia). The EKG was normal, and they sent me home after several hours. Many of the hospitals and Emergency Rooms right now are overrun with numerous cases of the flu and RSV (I've had all my shots). They (and I) suspect I didn't take the blood pressure and other meds after those tiny sausage biscuits, but I didn't think the quantity would be enough to keep me from getting sick with the other medications. As for those sausage biscuits, they are the mini size, Tennessee Pride brand... and there's not much to them. But, Lyft back home, plus the ER co-pay was over $100. I'll make a Post Office Box run on Thursday, but then I likely will stay home until next year. At least I'll get that COLA increase next month that will help some...and I'll have a new Medicare health plan, with lower co-pays for specialist visits, plus they'll provide transportation to and from doctors appointments. We are supposed to have severe weather here Tuesday and Tuesday night, but the 0700 UTC Severe Weather Outlook for Day 2 from the Storm Prediction Center, shows just marginally severe hail possible in central Arkansas...along with flooding rain, and frequent lightning (that means downtime for the BBS for Tuesday afternoon and evening). It appears the higher threat of tornadoes and damaging winds will be across south Arkansas, and especially north and central Louisiana. The bottom will fall out of the temperatures from Wednesday on...and the models (especially the GFS (aka the Goofus) model going back and forth on whether we'll have a winter storm here before Christmas. I'm up late due to digestive tract issues...but I'll be going back to bed shortly. At least I don't have an early wake-up call again until Friday. After the storms leave here early Wednesday, the weather looks dry and cold into early next week. Daryl .... There'll be a rain dance Friday night, weather permitting. === MultiMail/Win v0.52 --- SBBSecho 3.15-Win32 * Origin: The Thunderbolt BBS - Little Rock, Arkansas (454:1/33) .
