Last Friday did get down to -12ø with a wind chill of -25ø.  Official
readings at the NWS site at the airport five miles from here was a
little colder.  Schools were cancelled (good!); I was a little surprised
they didn't cancel mail delivery -- yeah,yeah: "rain, snow," etc., but a
little extreme to be walking to deliver mail.  ...Our usual carrier 
wears shorts almost all year -- chat with him every so often and he says
the constant walking keeps him warm.  Don't know if he delivered the 
past few days -- on his usual delivery time but whoever it was was 
bundled up and wearing long pants!

....Oh: Monday (tomorrow as I write this) they're forecasting a time-to-go-
to-learn-stuff temperature of 3-above but a wind chill of 14-below.  
Wouldn't surprise me if they cancelled school again.
