Actually probably futher!  I was watching the demolition of the old I-74
Bridge this morning on TV.  The bridge itself is down the hill from me,
about a dozen block.  "Channel 8" studios are on the other side of the
Mississippi River from me, so let's round to four miles.  (Their
transmitter is about 15 miles away - but let's not get too complicated!)

So Channel 8 was getting their video feed of the bridge from the Iowa
Department of Transportation in Des Moines, 170 miles away.

So so far I-74 Bridge Camera to Des Moines     170 miles
and back to Channel 8 Studios                  170 miles + 4
to their transmitter                           15 miles
and back to me                                 15 miles

So me watching something a few blocks away really goes around 375 miles!


And then it gets 'worse'!!  I recorded the event on my computer. My ISP is
in Indianapolis, so add at least 310 miles in there somewhere!
