Yup.  At the time made sense to save/store the computer: use it, either 
all or parts, later.  (As I've said in other messages I recycle the 
computers here.)  ...Time passes and so does computer progress.  That 
close-to-state-of-the-art computer slowly settled to the bottom of the 
heap and now just collects dust (and storage space).
