That's what many folks have said. When they told my late grandmother that she'd have to give up driving, because of her eyesight, it so devastated her emotionally, that she was dead within a month...never mind she was also battling lung cancer. I had prepared myself for it emotionally, and while it has been 4 years since I quit driving, it does have its benefits...such as no more car expenses (gasoline, repairs, tires, insurance), no more property tax payments on it, and no more fighting traffic or looking for parking spaces. That's why I get my groceries delivered now...I order online, then they do all the work. I just bring them inside at the delivery, then put them where needed (most into the refrigerator).
