In most cases it doesn't.  Personally I'm not interested in
speed/speeding/going super-fast.  I can sort of understand others'
interest and challenge.  Apparently my 'sane brain' kicks in at some 
relatively low speeds.

For some reason reminded me of when I went down to New Orleans with a
classmate.  No, wasn't for Mardi Gras - was a couple of weeks before or
after (I've forgotten which) but we was from a town outside N.O. and
went to visit family and friends.  (BTW, this was 1976 or 1977.)

He purposely stopped at a gas station on the southern side of the Mason-
Dixon Line.  Attendant shuffles out to fill the tank, clean windshield,
etc. -- all sort of in slow motion.  My friend had sort of forewarned me
of this; LIS he had stopped partially for my 'entertainment' as a
'Yankee'.  There was definitely no rushing!
