  I think my total cost, even with pre-arrangement, was around $12,000.
And, that was with a service and cremation. I found out 3 years ago of
a local cremation only deal for around $800. My brother wouldn't spend
the money to pre-arrange, but I told him "they're not going to just throw
your corpse into a dumpster".

  That's like the trial in Chicago right now, with Jessie Smollett, accused
of setting up a fake hate crime and attack against him...because he wanted
more fame. Fame is fleeting...you can be on top of the world one minute, 
and in the manure pile the next.

  And, while most people are set in their ways, especially as they get
older...at that point, you can't reason with them. Never mind those who
can not admit that they were WRONG about something. The episode of the
sitcom "Happy Days" was a perfect example, when Fonzie could NOT say the
word "wrong".
