      Same here I have had only one caller that calls every 6 months and
has trouble getting connected. I think my modem is on its way out
sometimes its doesn't respond hand shake when call is detected. I was
ditching tv service getting to expensive and figured I drop the dial up
line due to low use. My verizon bill will go from 157 a month down to
49.99 a month. All the tv and phone taxes go away a well. No taxes on
internet in NJ. I am going from 50/50 to 300/300 on internet.

     I may toy arround with my Magic Jack voice line to see if I can get
that to work with dialup. If that works I may get another magic jack
line and bring dialup back. I could see spending 3 -4 dollars a month
but not 30 dollars from verizon.
