Subj : Signature Question To : Ky Moffet From : Barry Martin Date : Fri Jan 06 2023 07:07:00 Hi Ky! > The following is my signature here on ILink: > > ¯ BarryMartin3@ ® > ¯ @MyMetronet.NET ® > > Can anyone suggest a better option? ...I don't recall ever being > contacted because someone wanted to avoid saying it publicly in ILink. KM> I think it's fairly obvious when one copypastas that it needs KM> doctoring to work. Hadn't even noticed the second @. I don't get KM> arrows, I get the R in a circle (registered trademark symbol). The second '@' is probably like the old Paris in the the spring trick: the second 'the' is usually ignored. As for the high-ASCII characters, probably depends on the default character coding. Here I send it out to look like a small, single- character width '>>' on the left and '<<' on the right. Youre message returned 'T>>' and 'T<<', the 'T' being one character wide and the arrors also a character wide. The 'T'is fine (as in thin) -- probably more like the line drawing character. KM> So I don't see a problem. Should suffice if needed. So far I'll just leave it as is. ...Sort of reminds me of a captcha I dealt with a few years ago. Question was "Create a nonsense word using the third letter of bedazzle and the letter that's next to itself.", OK, so 1-2-3: that's 'd;. Now what letter is 'beside itself'?? A-b-c .... 'w'??. Try 'dw' - nope. Try 'du' - nope. Ends up was wanting 'z'! ¯ BarryMartin3@ ® ¯ @MyMetronet.NET ® .... Feb.20, 1792: Pres.
