I've never used IceWM, other than briefly (I vaguely recall it was the 
alt-desktop for MintPup). In minimal, I prefer JWM.

I use KDE which normally does so for programs, BUT if they go in the 
system tray, THEN it apparently needs an icon from the Theme File, 
wherever that may live. With icons on the taskbar or desktop, I can 
right click, properties, click the icon, browse any that happen to be 
available, pick the one I want.

But if I knew where the heck it kept them, I could just edit the theme 
and save us all a lot of trouble. <g>
