One other quirk of the GIMP is that each new version (well the last three anyway) install brand new configuration files -- even if there is no real difference between the file layouts. It does preserve the old copies in a separate directory, but it is a real PITA to have to go back and try to reset all of your old presets. Otherwise, the program defaults to what the developers thought was the "correct preset" every time you open the new version of the program. For the life of me I cannot figure out why, when the preset has "transparent" *in the title* why a developer/maintainer thinks that means the background should default to "background color" -- i.e. not transparency. ;) Mike * SLMR 2.1a * Why is the word abbreviation so long? --- SBBSecho 3.28-Linux * Origin: ILink: CCO - capitolcityonline.net (454:3/105) .
