Subj : Graphics driver quest To : Mortar M. From : Barry Martin Date : Sat Sep 27 2025 07:05:00 > There's an explanation for Sister Bertrille? (Think that was her name MM> Correct. Yay! Good memory! > I recall the show but not watching it. May have been doing homework > when it was on.) MM> Hoping for devine guidance? :) I remember watching it during its MM> original run. Fun show. I think the show was inspired by the MM> movie, The Trouble with Angels, which was also quite good.--- Apparently not by a movie but a book: "The television series The Flying Nun was not based on a movie, but was inspired by the 1965 book The Flying Pelican by William J. Lederer. The book and subsequent series focused on a young woman in Puerto Rico who joins a convent and develops a unique habit that allows her to 'fly' in strong winds." My logical self wonders about the bobby pins/hat pins, etc., to keep the body attached to the habit but the entertained self had fun while the educating self was doing homework. Anyway, back to the graphics driver question (new monitor displaying noise in VM and remote access Terminals in 75 Hz mode but not 60), appears the problem might be the cable isn't fully inserted. This morning the monitor was telling me "mode not supported" (toggle power button) "cable not connected" (feel under monitor and press up on HDMI cable). Power on monitor: now behaving. I'm going to wait until its brighter outside so brighter in here before further fiddling. ...Had a problem with a different computer where it sometimes wouldn't output sound. Cable seemed inserted fully as felt tight but a bit of a shove, I could feel the cable move a fraction of an inch, and no more audio problems. ¯ ® ¯ BarryMartin3@MyMetronet.NET ® ¯ ® .... I have a pet tree. It's similar to a pet dog but the bark is quieter. --- MultiMail/Win32 v0.47 þ wcECHO 4.2 ÷ ILink: The Safe BBS þ Bettendorf, IA --- QScan/PCB v1.20a / 01-0462 * Origin: ILink: CFBBS | cfbbs.no-ip.com (454:1/1) .
