I don't mind Micronet being ported to NNTP or QWK for distribution on BBSes.  
I'd love to have a NNTP gateway here as I love using Pan for NNTP and it would 
be great to use but sadly I am too lazy to set anything up. <G>

I have found though when a FTN network is gated outside of FTN, the trash 
flows freely and it's not something I want to deal with and I know the rest of 
Micronet doesn't either.

As for IRC, there is an official Micronet channel, #micronet, on 
irc.bbses.info:6667 (SSL: 6669).

I do agree that BBSes and IRC are starting to come back a bit as a backlash to 
Big Tech like Facebook and what-not.
