Sounds like you have the right idea.  ;)  I read somewhere that there are several things you are not supposed to do today or your luck will disappear.  One of them is to do laundry.

As I have a load in the dryer right now, I guess I am too late to save this year's luck.  I will have to try again next year!  :D
