        My first Amiga was an A1000.  I was not impressed with it.  It was all
new.  Then a friend showed me his A500 he had, and I mad an offer and bought it
 from him and sold the A1000 and used the money to up-grade the A500 to 3 megs
of chip RAM.  Later I found a Slide on HD for it.  It only was 30 megs.  Saved
up hard and up graded it to 345 megs.  At that time I know it was abou a dollar
 a meg at that time.  This was the system I ran my first CNet Amiga BBS on.  It
 was kind of late in the time, just about when AOL and Compuserve started with
the internet.  I still wish I had it, but I sold it to buy my first PC.  AOL
did not offer the software for AmigaOS to get on the internet.  Just Windows or
 Mac. :(
