There are The information age absolutely indicates to me that there is a whole lot of smoke without fire, especially in media-driven phenomena like UFOs, where we're dealing with terminally online communities (we're in one now), photographs, and videotape. None of these things are *real.* Someone needs to produce alien flesh, or alien technology, which can be examined by academics, verifying extraterrestrial origin. The desire to believe in UFOs and extra-terrestrial life and visitations, strongly outweighs the amount of credible evidence there is for these things. In this article unnamed sources are providing this information to the wretched Daily Mail, a notorious tabloid. This is not impressive to me, personally. At this point we have decades of reports of sightings, alleged crashes, and the like. I would like to see *one sample* produced for public, academic analysis. Just one. Odds are there is extraterrestrial life in the universe. [*] The universe itself is 13.8 billion years old. [*] The earth formed 4.5 billion years ago. [*] Life is theorized to have formed 3.7 billion years ago [*] The earliest possible end to the universe is 22 billion years, with some estimates as long as 100 trillion years My sense of this is that we are one of the more "elder races" of the universe, or will be considered so, if anyone catalogs it. It is possible there are species far more advanced than ours, but with the math, I find it difficult to believe they've had a chance to detect us, given the size of the universe. I'm open to being wrong, but nothing I have seen so far about UFOs has been very convincing to me, personally.
