What would change in your life when the existence of extra-terrestrial life
is found and proven to exist.  Will you have a religious experience?  Will
you worship the aliens as gods?  Perhaps you'll want to suck all the
technology you can from the aliens to make your life on Earth that much
better.  There is a project called the Disclosure Project that prepares
people for that day when everyone will come face to face with
extra-biological entities.  They do exist, the government has chosen a course
of denial because they don't want global panic and disruption of the world
scene.  This is understandable.  People would stop working and spend all of
their time learning as much about the visitors as possible and devoting
themselves to the fellowship of their new guests.  Basically it would mess
the world completely up.  Do you think that silence is the proper course of
action?  If so why, if not why not?  If there is anything we can learn from
ourselves is if the aliens are anything like ourselves their "visitation"
would not be a good thing.  They would be corrupt, power hungry, and without
much remorse.  Don't think that these foreigners want the best for humanity. 
They most likely want control and the use of our natural resources.  A day
will come when we come face to face with aliens, devils more like it.  What
will you do with the revelations?  Times will change and they will change for
the worse, with a covering of pretending that makes the devils appear to be
for the better good.  Creatures that will torment people for five months are
not on your side.
