Hi Bob,

I once flew into Washington DC from an European flight and they had me
walking through a mirrored walkway, maybe 10ft wide several yards long
and immediately knew what is was for (not to adjust your hair).
I think at that distance RFID tags can be read. The best counter measure
for that is to deploy some RF blocking. You can get some special wallets
or simply make it yourself with layered tinfoil sheets betweem some 
duct tape, nice and flexible and a decent shield.
