There is a really nice phone system you folks my be interested in.  It is
found at www.ooma.com.  They offer the source-code to it, both the kernel and
other code to their phone system, offered in the GPL (GNU Public License). 
If you connect one Ooma phone to another Ooma phone your converation is
encrypted end-to-end.  If you call a person without an Ooma(net) connected
phone the conversation will not be encrypted.  It made me smile to see a
highly commercial phone network to release their code in the GPL, and having
working plug-and-play encryption was a nice feature.  The only bad part, I'm
not sure if they sell their gear internationally or just in the USA.  They're
definitely working in the right direction.  Well done www.oooma.com.
