Have you ever wondered what the two tyrannical regimes were doing as they saw their reign of power coming to an end in the near future?  It is very probable that they transported their riches out of the hot zone, away from the war machine and to some place where they could collect it again later on and fund their initial goal's endgame away from the sight of those who were to win the war and those of their own ranks (who weren't read in on the plan) who would temporarily lose the war.  They had lost the war but preserved their ability to fund further campaigns after a period of waiting when the time seemed right.  

Hiding wealth isn't a new thing.  Saving action until the time is right is likewise not a new thing.  It is probable that both the Soviets (CCCP) and the National Socialists (NAZI)'s have wealth stored away somewhere to fund their operations under the cover of non-existence to accomplish their goals out of the eyes of the public, having a secret and sinister agenda.

One thing I've noted before: a nation of several million people who have been indoctrinated with Soviet propaganda for all of their lives and are committed Soviets are not about to change all of their beliefs on a dime and suddenly somehow change their fundamental beliefs that they had held true for many decades to somehow not be Socialist/Communist anymore and magically become capitalist?  Just because the government changes its political policies in no way changes a devout follower of any doctrine, whether that be Soviet Communism or National Socialism.  The mind just doesn't work that way, it is absurd.

Somewhere out there is a massive store of wealth held by malevolent actors, and its force is being directed against you.
