Back in the 90's in the BBS Scene there were some troubling documents that 
were being shared on just about every cool kid's BBS.  These two were the 
Anarchist's Cookbook and The Terrorist's Handbook.  In one or both of these 
was described how to make a substance called Thermite.  It is very simple to 
create and it can be ignited by a simple blow torch used in welding.  
Thermite's claim to fame is that it burns in the thousands of degrees Celcius 
and once it gets started it doesn't stop until all of its fuel source is 
spent.  If I recall correctly its made of simple, easy to find, materials that 
can be found at your local camping store.  The cost of the materials from the 
camping store are less than $15 CAD ($12 USD), and no one asks you what you 
want to use it for, it is just assumed that you want to use it as a fire 
starter not the ignition chemical for a Thermite burn fire.

Due to the tragedy of 9/11 the Terrorist's Handbook and the Anarchist's 
Cookbook have become hard to find, but they can still be found by deeply 
searching the website portion of the Internet.  Be careful of who you send 
those documents to.  For most people it's just a curiousity, while for others 
its a blueprint for a terrorist act that can do real harm to real people.
