I think the reason it doesn't support ctrl-A codes is that ctrl-A codes aren't
standard..  Ctrl-A codes are a Synchronet thing.  One of the reasons I haven't
implemented them in SlyEdit yet is because of that reason, and the fact that
Synchronet BBSs are often on message networks with other BBSs that use
different BBS software which don't understand the Ctrl-A codes.  Messages with
color codes that other BBS packages don't understand tend to just look funky on
those BBSs.
