This announces the release of Linux/m68k-2.0.29. This release is compatible with the native 2.0.29 kernel. This is mainly a bugfix release as the native patches from 2.0.28 to 2.0.29 do not contain large changes affecting the m68k port. This announcement only covers the most important changes from 2.0.28 to 2.0.29, if you haven't done so already, please read the announcements for the previous 2.0.x releases. Here is a list of the most important changes: Jesper Skov: o Led support for the CyberStorm II SCSI controller. Andreas Schwab: o Fixed a missing parameter do dump_fpu(). o arch/m68k/mm/memory.c: Two `register' statements were missing resulting in some people not being able to compile the kernel. o /proc info for atari_NCR5380.c John Shifflet: o drivers/scsi/wd33c93.c: Always do sync-negotiation, which should solve the problems for GVP/GuruRom owners. Geert Uytterhoeven: o A bunch of new Zorro boards are detected. Leonard N. Zubkoff: o fs/buffer.c: fsck would take extremely long in some situations. Myself: o arch/m68k/mm/memory.c: Fixed some buggy inline asm so people with 68040/060 CPUs should be able to run X again. The new kernel as well as a set of pre-compiled kernels, one for the Atari and one for the Amiga (vmlinux-2.0.29-Atari.tar.gz and vmlinux-2.0.29-Amiga.tar.gz respectively) are available at SunSITE.auc.dk, under /pub/os/linux/680x0/v2.0. 02/28/97 Jes Sorensen (jds@kom.auc.dk). .
