Command line linux mail...
How did that work?
I needed it to dug through my SDF mail.
So, a little digging in satans archive gave me some useful

Today my Gopher phlog looked odd. I thought that I misplaced a
tab last week. But it has to do with zooming in at BASH zooming
in with ctrl and + too large font and the upper half of my phlog
was missing.

Just a small newyear update.
The test VPN is running again on Linode. This host is affordable
for me. In the future: again the Gopher mirror and Gemini. The
last time I tried, I did not get it to work.

The test VPS is gone by the end of this month. SDF is a great host
for Gopher. At the moment it is to costly to keep it online.
For a quick test I allways can use Google Shell.
It is free but not persist.

A new protocol, a mix between http and gopher, not to replace the
one or the other.
The Gemini project was started in June 2019 by Solderpunk.

I (almost accidentally!) started designing a new lightweight,
text-centric internet protocol heavily inspired by Gopher in a series
of posts in my phlog. Many more people proved to be much more
interested in this than I expected, and so the project - now known as
Project Gemini - eventually moved to a separate parallel phlog and
then to its own server.

The world of today is divided. The majority believes the narrative
of the government, who controls the media. A small part believes
the Idea of a hoax, I do not use the words "conspiracy theory",
which is a CIA term to knock out people, who are too close near

Ubuntu 20.04 dropped the Pygopherd package. There is no way
to install it from the official repositories. This guide
shows you two ways to install the version from Ubuntu 18.04,
which still works perfectly on 20.04. Either via just downloading
the 2 deb packages, or via `apt pinning` from the
previous repository.
