HEE HAW/NASHVILLE NOW- Put them Back On The Air!!!

I honestly wish CMT would get its act together and put showslike
Hee Haw and Nashville Now back on the air. The shows and movies
they have on CMT now have nothing too do with Country Music. Hee
Haw had so many guests on it that were great musicians and
singers. Buck Owens and Roy Clark were great together. I
remember seeing Roy Acuff and StringBean on some of the early
shows, Kenny Price was another one I miss he had a great voice.
Nashville Now hosted by Ralph Emery was a great show with alot
of great talented singers/songwriters & musicians on it. I
recall seeing Merle on several occasions performing on stage and
doing interviews with Ralph Emery. I also remember Ralph had
some rarities on there as well, Singers/Songwriters & Musicians
you never hear about but made a great mark on music. One of them
was Mickey Newbury alot of people dont know who Mickey Newbury
was but he was a hell of a songwriter and I enjoyed watching him
perform on Nashville Now on stage, you could tell that he was
deep into his music like alot of great Songwriters are.

I'd love to see them on the air again. Hee-Haw was one of my

You are so right...i used to love watching TNN!!!What a great
time that was for "REAL COUNTRY MUSIC"...Nashville sucks these
days and COUNTRY TELEVISION IS JUST PLAIN OLE DEAD!!
I went to see ROY CLARK last week in Warsaw, Ind...Man o man
what a TALENTED ICON...LIGHTNING FINGERS ROY from HEE HAW..LOVED
THAT SHOW AS WELL.

I missed him. Roy came through my home town and did a concert
but, I waited too late to buy tickets. :(

I know the RFD channel shows alot of the classic Country shows.
I have seen hee haw, but not Nashville Now. That would be nice.

Like Isaid Nashville Now was an awesome show with Ralph Emery, I
honestly think Ralph's favorite Country singer was Merle as
well. I have seen Ralph Emery do an entire show with Merle
Haggard.

I have an old radio show Ralph did exclusively with Merle. I
think it was in 87 or somewhere around there.

I have 15 Hee Haw DVD's with 2 shows on each and also have the 3
Buck Owens Ranch Show DVD's on Buck's website
