I don't know. It does sound a little like David Frizzell but not
as scratchy, so I doubt it is David Frizzell. It could be
someone from Canada for all I know about it.

So somebody downloaded this song off of Grooveshark or Limewire
or such a place? If you can find where it came from, maybe you
can find who uploaded it there.
I Googled the lyrics on the Internet in case they are on some
       website but found nothing.
I heard a record on the radio
       in ’68 or maybe ‘69
In three minutes you became my hero
You sang the words that describe a life like mine
Merle Haggard, you’re still my living legend
       from Bakersfield to Nashville, Tennessee
As long as there is still the lonesome stranger
there’ll always be a ramblin’ man in me
When I walk through swingin’ doors you sing me back home
when they’re walking on the fightin’ side of me
when I get that ramblin’ fever from the misery and gin
you lead me back to the barrooms again
Hey, Hag, you old Okie from Muskogee
sing me back home through those swingin’ doors again
You sang a song from Jimmie Rodgers
Hank and Lefty still your favorite ones of all
Thanks to you I sang a song about Mama
and I came to hang a gold one on the wall
When I walk through swingin’ doors you sing me back home
when they’re walking on the fightin’ side of me
when I get that ramblin’ fever from the misery and gin
you lead me back to the barrooms again
Hey, Hag, you old Okie from Muskogee
sing me back home through those swingin’ doors again
sing me back home through those swingin’ doors again

       It isn't Marty Haggard.
I didn't hear the voice in any YouTube cover video I checked
       out.

       Hi lightninboy,
I sometimes wonder if there are two singers. The first could be
a Brit' putting on a American accent, but after the instrumental
section the singer's voice sounds deeper and richer with a
       natural accent.
It seems quite well produced with well constructed lyrics - very
       odd it is unknown.
We can't find the original download site and we have searched
every avenue and search criteria, even our UK CM program
       presenters are at a loss!!

It was hard to figure out some of the words. I think it should
have been easier to figure them out if the song had been
recorded and released for commercial sale, so I suspect it was
some demo tape by a songwriter or small-time musician.

I’m thinking if it wasn’t on a free music place like
playlist.com it could have been on a songwriter/small-time
musician place like myspace.com or soundclick.com or
       reverbnation.com.

The guy singing, who also wrote the song, is Ottar "Big Hand"
Johansen. The song is called "Swinging doors again" and he
recorded it as a duet with fellow artist Steinar Albrigtsen for
his 1994 album "Passion & Trust".
