The two helicopters different from each other on Speed, Form Of Fire, and Bomb, below is a description of the helicopters. Copter 1: Its Speed is very effective for dodging, Form Of Fire and Bomb is good, and it is the best choice for beginner. Copter 2: Slightly slower that Copter 1, but Form of Fire is Ok and Bomb has more coverage. Expert will love to use this. 5: Weapons/Power ups/item Gun Power ups: These are obtained by saving civilians and shooting crates held by certain enemy. They are mark as a Gun Icon with letter "C" or "G". Power changes around three second. A total of 5 levels can be obtained for any power. Additional power will activate bonus time. G Power: Known as Gatelling Gun. It fires sprays of Bullet, great for taking out certain Bosses and multiple enemies. Copter 1 fires a cluster of 10 bullets forward at level 5, rapid fire are one then five bullets. Copter 2 fires 14 bullets in a spread style at level 5, rapid fire is closed six bullets, can be pulled apart by holding Left. Overall, it is the weapon most people will choose. C Power: Known as Plasma Cannon (Because it can go through everything). It fires burst of Plasma, use for taking out strong enemies. Copter 1 fires three burst of plasma at level 5, which one burst, is a one in front and two on side pattern, rapid fire is one in middle, two on side stream. Copter 2 fires three small stream of plasma in a 3-way style at level 5, rapid fire is triple front stream, can be pulled apart by holding Left. Bomb: Can be obtained just like the Gun Power ups. Bombs are power ups that can save your life and destroy enemies. When used, you are completely shield from any attack (include last boss's Laser Beam), and fire your Bomb to damage the enemy. Copter 1 fires two waves of Fireballs in a cross style. Copter 2 fires seven balls of Plasma in seven ways. Both Bomb last for two seconds, use it wisely. Support Weapons: Its is obtained exactly like the Gun Power ups. There are total of 4 types, marked as "H" "N" "M" and "S". 3 levels are needed to have max power. However, "S" only requires one H Power: Known as Homing Missile. Fires six small Homing Missile at max power. Quite weak, but great for covering more area and weakling other enemies. An Ok support weapon for all times. N Power: Known as Napalm Bomb. Fires a small bomb and when impact with enemies, ground, etc, will cause a fire explosion. At max power, a chain of 5 fires is produced. Very powerful, extreme useful for taking out ground enemies and ground bosses. M power: Known as Normal Missile. Fires 3 medium sizes a missile that goes 3-ways. It a bit more powerful that the Homing Missile, and it only good for large and long bosses where all missiles can hit. Not a very good support weapon. S Power: Known as (Super or Special) Missile. This power ups doesn't come often. It can be found on the third stage, the fifth stage, and maybe every stage if you have all civilians rescued, and wish for the best. The "S" fires 6 large, fast-traveling Missiles forward that does great damage. It is the best of all missiles. If I gotten this, I would keep it until the end of the game. Items: These are obtained when you shoot an amount of enemy, or from Defending People Act, or from rescuing civilian. Gold Star: Nothing too special, give 2000 pts per star, a must if you want to achieve a high score. Full Power: Increasing the Gun and Support Weapon Power to max. Found only some times when all civilians were rescued. It somewhat useful if you don't have max power. Smart Bomb: Found only in Defending People Act, it will kill all enemies on screen. More info about the Smart Bomb in the "Secret" Section. 6: Bosses Stage 1: T-Rex This Boss is not too hard. As soon the battles begin, he will jump up and fire 2 spread of sparks, and will repeat the attack once more after landing. A visible space can be seen between the spread of sparks. Dodge and tap the fire button as quick as possible. When landed, he will fire 6 waves of sparks, then turns around and repeat the attack. Now he will charge up, jump and fire 3 energy rings, then repeat it once more. If you keep firing at him, he will go down after the second jump of the energy ring attack. Stage 2: Rhino Another simply boss. Have max power on "G" and "N". When he drops down, position yourself next to him and rapidly fire on him. The fire explosion and the gunfire are capable of killing him before he get a chance to pull out more that one attack. Stage 3: Huge Bird (I have no idea what the name is) This is a very simple boss, just keep shooting, and you can also destroy the feather the boss shoots out. Eventually, the boss will fly to the top-left of the screen and will dive on your position. Just get out of the way and resume fire when it comes back. Soon it will go down. Stage 4: Bee At first, you will see some helicopters get destroyed, and then the bee will come out. Rapidly fire at him and he will explode, making his shell huge. He will land and pop out the shell, with a very long tail behind, and leave. When it comes back, fires at the tails, and get ready to dodge lots of shots. Then he will move around the screen for a while. In the meantime, bugs will crawl out from the big shell and will attack if not destroyed immediately. After the tail has been destroyed, just blast the head and you're done. Stage 5: (Sub bosses): Guardian ,Black Dinos. Boss: Unknown The Guardian comes in four colors, green, yellow, red, and blue. They have four different powers too, Water, Fire, Magic, and Laser. They will first form a square around you, then red and blue will fire their projectiles. Destroy red and blue, then green and yellow will move to the right side of the screen. Just do the same mentioned above and you've done it. The black dino will fire tons of flaming fireballs to the sky and falls down. Then he will use a fire breath attack that goes 3-way. If you didn't destroy him, he will walk off to the left side of the screen while the tail fires multiple shots, then he will walk back, repeating the attack. A few more shot will get rid of him. The Unknown is actually a huge octopus. He will come from the right side of the screen. Just give him a couple burst of plasma, and he will back out. You're not done yet; you will have to fight him again. Stage 6: Unknown This is the last boss and he can be difficult to defeat. Before you get to this level, make sure you're Gun Power is at max. I prefer Plasma Cannon, Homing Missile, or "S" Missile, and Bomb should be at max or more than 5. First, he will come from the right and you're going to go around his body from the top, then the bottom. There will be two pods on the head section will launch a huge teeth. The next section has a Laser Pod and three small guns. On the end section is an eye that fires plasma fireballs. Below the head section is two pods that fires fireballs. The position of the fireballs depends on the position you're at. Before the pods show up, move to the left corner of the screen and you're have no trouble avoiding the fireballs. Then you will come across the face and the claws. Stay between the claws and tap the fire button as fast as possible. You'll destroy the face before the claws become active. Now the boss will leave the screen and turn around. The eye will fire the plasma fireball two times, then it will fire six lasers in six ways, then a couple of eye balls and another fireball. Destroy the eye, then you'll move on to the midsection, it will fire two waves of spark for two times, then it will launch some stars that can be shot. Quickly blast the midsection before it attacks too much. When it's destroyed, it will reveal a big mouth. In the center is a big eye that fires large fire in a spiral formation; the eye will also launch a vortex that explodes into a circle of shots. Keep shooting the mouth as fast as possible. When the flame lunches the third times, the eye will launch multiple vortex and use the fire again plus five plasma fireballs forward, making it impossible to dodge. Dodge the first set of shots, and then fire a Bomb to pass the rest. The mouth will open and charge up. Move to the bottom of the screen. The mouth will fire a huge Laser Beam that covers 80% of the screen and will block all attack except the Plasma Cannon and the Bomb. Fire a Bomb and move into the Laser. If you're using Copter 2, move into the mouth. Keep on using the Bomb, and it should be destroyed before your Bomb runs out. Congratulation, You have beaten Prehistoric Isle 2. Now take a deep breath, and pat yourself on the back. 7: Secret The Smart Bomb Trick: There is a trick to do with the Smart Bomb and its simple as well. Just wait until the Smart Bomb almost left the screen, then get in. By that time, there should be lots of enemies on screen. Not only will you get lots of points, but also many Stars, Support and Gun Power ups and Bombs. So any of you who need to get high scores and a massive power up, this is how you do it The Challenge Star Bonus: This bonus will be given to you at the end of the level if you didn't lose a life. Each Challenge Star gives you 100 000 pts and it will be 600 000 pts if you got all the Challenge Star, making it a vital for getting a high score. The Bonus Time: Can be activated by getting a Gun Power ups when level is at max. A bracket will show under your life with hearts in them. (Start out with 5) Any enemies you destroy will double its value by x2, x4, x8, and finally x16. In the meantime, the heart continues to decrease, by getting the same type of gun again will extend the time for a bit but can only be done once. (The time extension is random) once depleted, the Bonus Time stops, you'll need to repeat the step mention above to reactivate it. Extra Life: On the Defend People Act on Stage 5, destroy the first two waves of enemies then move down and fire a Bomb to kill the ground one. Then fire another to kill another. If you gotten 28 or more people in, you will see a heart with the word 1-up on it, get it and you'll have an extra life. 8: Strategies and Tips Dodging is the most important fact in shooting games, and Prehistoric Isle 2 is no exception. Although enemy fire is minimal at the beginning, it can get very heavy and the end. So do not move around too much if there is no enemy, but also don't stay in one spot for too long. Enemies may sneak up behind you! Conserving the Bombs, only use when in extreme situation. If you have many reserve and you know there are others in the current level, then you should use it when necessary. Remember enemy position and fire pattern. It can be difficult if you're new to the game. But remembering is worth it and will benefit you on the next play. It is wise to share the Power ups if there is a second player. Corporation is required for success, and you should think about your partner as well. 9: Special Thanks Dan GC for showing me the format of an FAQ and helped me with the Copyright Disclaimer and gave me the idea to write the FAQ GameFaqs for showing me the guide for writing an FAQ SNK for manufacturing the game Yumekobo for designing the game End
