There are 5 rooms per level, and you must collect 4 treasures per level. You come equipped with a gun, and you can morph into several objects. The game ends if you complete the tenth level or lose all your lives. Once the game is over, you are given a rating. Scoring This game keeps your score at the top. You start with a score of 00/00. The left number keeps track of how many treasures you have collected, and the right keeps track of the level scores you have received. Dying You start the game with ten lives. There are no extra lives. Once you run out of lives, or once you complete the last level, the game is over. You will die if: * - You touch an enemy or an enemy projectile. * - You run out of time. There is a clock that always starts at 15 when you enter a room. You must reach a door before it reaches zero. The speed of the clock is determined by the difficulty level. You will die if you touch an enemy who has been shot. Controls You use a standard joystick for this game and the keyboard. Up, left, down, and right moves the ghost around in eight possible directions. Holding the fire button down allows you to turn the ghost into a gun barrel, and aim it in eight directions. Releasing the button allows you to fire a bullet. You can only fire one bullet at a time. You can also transform into different objects by pushing the correct keys. They are: H - hammer K - key M - magnet S - shovel T - torch Any other button will turn you back into a ghost. You walk over exits and treasures while you are an object. Difficulty You can choose between child, teenager, and adult by pressing the option button. The puzzles are the same, but on the harder modes, the monsters and the time clock will move faster. I really recommend starting on the child mode when first playing this game. You can also skip a level by pressing the select button. Keep in mind that if you do so, you will lose all points that you gained but you will have 10 lives again. Levels You start each level in the middle of a room. Each room has 4 doors (which are just straight or diagonal lines.) One of these rooms will lead you to a fifth room. Each room has a name, which is usually a clue to how to solve the room and collect the prize. Once you collect the prize and successfully leave the room, the door will disappear. When you complete a level, you will get a level score. Level 1 Top left room - The Magic Touch In this room, you will see a gumdrop shape prize in the middle of a trap. As soon as you touch the prize, the two walls will quickly crash upon the prize. You can avoid being killed by shooting the treasure up or down until it is out of the way of the trap. After setting off the trap, avoid touching the walls and exit the level. Bottom left room - Looks To Easy As you enter, you may notice two enemies quickly disappear. Once you get to the treasure, the enemies will reappear. Make sure you can shoot them, because they can easily trap you in the diagonal hallways. Top right room - Boxed In First, shoot the enemy in this room. Then, shoot at the box surrounding the treasure until you make a hole big enough to squeeze through. Exit when you're done. (The lower left exit leads to "The Magic Touch".) Bottom left room - Bountiful Bullets This room is a challenge. You have to navigate through a simple maze while bullets threaten you from the sides. The trick is to change into a hammer, since this is the most horizontal transformation. You should be able to avoid the bullets to reach the exit to the south. (The upper right exit leads to "Boxed In") Bonus room - Disappearing Doors In this room, you see the treasure but no doors. After grabbing the treasure, you may notice that exits pop up at random. You have to wait for a door to show up and sprint for it. This room is more luck than anything. After you exit this room, you have to go back through the previous room to complete the level. Level 2 Upper right - Too Many Doors This level is shaped like a Z. The middle of the Z is nothing but doors, so the best thing to do is to turn into any item and go straight through the diagonal part to reach the bottom of the Z. Collect the treasure and leave. Upper left - He Can Disappear He is a rectangle shape enemy with a face. He blinks in and out and can only be shot when you can see him. Shoot him and his friend, that green thing that looks like a snake or balloon or whatever. (The exit under the table leads to "Radioactive Room". The exit in the upper right leads to "Too Many Doors".) Lower Left - Two Roads This screen is a simple maze to two doors. You start at the upper left, and must make it to the lower right before time runs out. The lower left just leads you back to the upper left of this screen. The lower right exit leads you to the bonus room. Bonus Room - Fortified Faces The two enemies are invulnerable and will always come towards you. You start in the top middle of this room in between the faces. Get the treasure to the south and then maneuver by the enemies to get to either of the exits. Lower right - Radioactive Room The treasure in the middle of the room is constantly firing bullets at all directions. The walls that surrounds it blocks these bullets. You must actually walk up to the treasure and touch it, hoping not to be hit by any stray bullets. (The upper left exit leads to "He Can Disappear") Level 3 Upper Left - What Do I Do In Here This room really stumped me for a while. It has a rectangle in the middle and three squares in almost a triangle formation. The trick is to hit the correct square, or else you'll be thrown out to the main hall. If you touch the bottom right square, then the top, then the bottom right one again, you should see a new square. Touch this to go to the bonus room. (The upper right exit leads to "Speedy Little Devils") Bonus Room - You Earned This One The only thing to worry about in this room is the time. You may be tricked into thinking that there's got to be a catch, but all you have to do is move through the long hallway and grab the treasure and go back to the exit before time runs out. After returning to the previous room, exit to claim this treasure. Upper Right - What Prize This room has many walls and two octupus enemies, but no visible prize. All you have to do is shoot both monsters and a clock will appear. (The lower right exit leads to "Speedy Little Devils") Lower Left - Speedy Little Devils The game is not kidding: these monsters are fast and hard to shoot. Even if you do shoot one, another will replace it. Outrun them if the mode is easy enough, and grab the prize on the top of the screen. (The bottom left exit leads you into the middle of "What Prize") Lower Right - Push Em Back Push Em Back You start in the lower middle of the room with two wall closing in on you from the left and right. You must move up to grab the treasure while shooting to your left and right to push back both walls. After you grab the treasure, start moving and shooting the way you want to so you can reach the exit. Level 4 Upper Left - Sliding Wall You start at the right of this room. A wall will periodically slide towards you. To avoid getting hit, you must line up your ghost with the small hole in the wall. The hole will change position, so try to stay towards the middle of the room as you move to the diamond-shaped treasure. Exit when you're done. Lower Left - Cant Take This From Me In this room, a guy who looks like your ghost but who has legs will taunt you by dancing and holding the treasure. If you shoot him, he will disappear with the treasure. To win, touch the treasure without touching him. (The right door leads to "He Only Looks Dead") Lower Right - He Only Looks Dead He is the bird that tries to fly right towards you. You can shoot him, but he will only be dead temporary: He will never leave the screen. Just try to outrun him and shoot him when you can to slow him down. Upper Right - You Have To Work On This In this room there is an exit above you and a long pole. The pole is like a lever with the treasure on the bottom left and the pole pointing upwards to the right wall. The entire pole is surrounded by a wall, so you can't reach the treasure yet. Go to the exit to the top. Bonus Room - Why Cant I Shoot You can't shoot in this room, nor do you need to. You will notice blue boxes falling from the ceiling. Turn into a magnet to catch one, and go to the right part of the screen. Push the fire button to release the box so it falls all the way down. Do this once more, and then leave by the lower left exit. Ignore the right one, since it just kicks you out into the main room. In the previous room, collect the now exposed treasure and leave. Level 5 Upper Right - I Gave Them Guns Why did you do that, you dope?! The two enemies here are really tough, and you will probably lose several lives. Dodge their fire and shoot back, and collect the TV above you when you can. They can still shoot even in their dying form. Lower Right - Diagonal Dilemna This level is a lot like "Sliding Walls" from the last level, but the hole always comes from the middle of the wall moving from the upper left to the lower right. You start at the lower right and the treasure is in the upper left corner. Kill the enemy to make this room easier. Lower Left - A Puzzle To Unlock This is a very tough puzzle. There are two doors in the lower corners and two chairs in the upper corners. If you touch a door, it will rotate clockwise and push you back. Turn into a key and touch the left door if you want. Then go to the right door and keep touching it until the chairs change from red to a lighter color or four times, whichever comes first. If nothing happens to the chairs, go back to the left door and touch it once more and repeat. When the chairs turn red, turn back into a ghost and head for the chair on the left. You will find yourself in the main room, able to reach that door that was shut off to you. Upper left - Hurry Up You are at the bottom of a triangle shaped room with a treasure above you. There are no enemies or walls, but time moves much faster than usual. Once you exit, you will return to the previous puzzle. Lower Left - A Puzzle To Unlock (2) Do the same thing you did before, only go to the right chair. Bonus Room - P Stands For Prize. The room has an X in the middle. You are below it and the prize is above. Two enemies will come toward you from your left and right. Defeat them and grab the treasure to finally solve this room. Level 6 The upper rooms have locks in front of them. If you turn into a key and touch the locks, a wall will open for you. Lower Left - Jumpies There are two very small enemies in this room. Shoot them, and collect the treasure on the right. (The lower exit leads to "Tight Squeeze") Lower Right - Tight Squeeze In this room, you have a maze, but you can't possibly fit in it. You can't, unless you use the arrow keys. The verticle arrow keys make you a verticle stick and the horizontal keys make you a horizontal stick. With this knowledge, you can go through the maze as fast as you can to get the treasure and then leave. Upper Right - Bombs Away Debris will constantly fall from the top. You must avoid it while going through the maze to reach the treasure. Use the left exit to leave after you are done. Upper Left - Pirate Treasure Kill the two enemies that are on either side of the screen. Then look at the orange land below you for a yellow door. Turn into a shovel and dig to get there. You must dig in a V pattern to be able to reach it. Bonus room - Blocked You start in the lower left corner, and the treasure is in the mid right wall. As you try to get to the right, several barriers will try to block your progress. Don't worry about touching them, since they will not kill you. They will only cause you to lose time, so hold the joystick in the direction you need to go until you get there. Level 7 Upper Left - An Opening This level is shaped like a grid, with several parts opening and closing. You start at the bottom left and must make it to the treasure and the exit in the upper right. Just push your way towards the exit as fast as you can, killing either of the two enemies if they threaten you. If part of the grid closes on you, you won't die. You'll only be delayed. Lower Left - Not Much Here Kill the turnip thing first. Now, you'll notice a weird shape on the right of the screen. I know it's hard to tell, but it's actually a block of ice (I think.) Turn into the torch, which will react and eventually cause the ice to melt. When it melts, turn into a ghost and move right but do NOT go all the way right. When you're pass where the ice was, go up, and then go right until you reach the next screen. (The right exit leads to "An Opening") Bonus Room - A Gift If you followed my advice, you will notice that you are on the path to the treasure. If not, you will be in the wrong part of this room and will have to do "Not Much Here" over again. Lower Right - Determined Advance You start on the right of this room, and will notice a wall heading slowly towards you. You must shoot a hole in the wall to get to the treasure on the left. Only shoot to the left and not diagonally. You can shoot a hole just large enough for the ghost or if you can't, shoot a hole large enough for the gun, and hold the fire button and aim left or right while the wall passes you. You have to do this for two walls. (The lower exit leads to "Not Much Here") Upper Right - Wrong Way This room is hard to understand. First, kill the enemy. Then, go to the exit to the right BUT enter the exit from the right. If you touch an exit from the most obvious direction, you will be kicked out into the main room. After that, you will be in the right side of the room. Again, kill the monster and touch the exit from the left. Now you will be in the bottom part of this room on the left. Kill the monster again and take the treasure and leave. Level 8 Upper Left - It Wont Always Pop You will see a circle with a dot in it fall from the top. This is a kind of balloon, so shoot it from the left or right (not diagonally) and collect the dot prize. The prize will continue falling so touch it before it disappears. (The exit on the right leads to "Always One Left") Lower Left - Always One Left The two monsters on this screen will never disappear. Once you shoot one, it will freeze until you shoot the other. The monsters will always come at you, so be quick and shoot one if you need to. Lower Right - Caged In Look, Pac-Man made a cameo. Okay, not really, but that C-shaped monster is the key to this puzzle. You will notice that the treasure is in a box, but you can't shoot the box. You can shoot the wall that the monster is behind. Once the monster is free, lead him towards the treasure. He will eat the box and eventually give you enough room to grab the kettle. (The lower exit leads to "Beat This Puzzle") Upper Right - Beat This One You must change into a hammer and touch the green 'nails'. When the nails are facing the right way, a third of the puzzle will disappear. There are only four possible patterns for the first two nails and six possible patterns for both sets of three. Once you clear a path, take the exit to the left. (The bottom exit leads to "Caged In") Bonus Room - Congratulations This room will probably trick you the first time you see it. You will see a money bag to your left, and you'll go to it without thinking about the exit that is in front of you. To get the bag, turn into any object and walk over the exit. Change back into a ghost to grab the prize and leave. (Another possible solution is to go right. The right exit will warp you to the money bag.) Level 9 Top Left - Well Guarded A hyperactive four legged creature guards the watch in this room. You can not shoot him, nor can you outrun him, so ignore him for the moment and go to the exit on the top right. Bonus Room - Blockers There are two polls here with green tips. Turn into a hammer and touch the polls until you can not push them down any farther. Return to the previous room by the lower exit. Well Guarded (2) Now, the creature should be blocked and you shall have a clear path to the watch. Exit. Lower Right - Take A Dive There is a weird monster here and a treasure to the south. The south wall is guarded by another wall you can't shoot. You have to shoot the monster so that he falls towards the treasure. The monster will open a hole in the wall where he fell. If you can't reach the treasure, exit and try again. (The right exit leads to "Back To Basics") Lower Right - Play The Odds You will notice a tiny hole in the wall that allows you to shoot at a ball. The ball is on top of a pyramid of dots. You must shoot through the hole and watch as the ball falls randomly. If the ball falls toward the green part of the wall, you can collect the ball and exit. Top Right - Back To Basics There's no puzzle here. Just shoot the two faces and get the prize on the right. Just make sure you don't get caught in the diagonal barriers while shooting the faces. Level 10 Top Room - The Beam Shoot the bat. You will notice that the amulet is constanly moving down towards you but is teleported upwards by the bullets coming from the left. You cannot touch these bullets, nor can you touch the amulet without being shot. You can turn into a magnet, which will make the bullets go downwards. The amulet can go farther down now, but will still run into the bullets. The trick is to turn into a magnet, and wait until the amulet goes as far south as it can, then turn back into a ghost before the bullets touch the amulet. The amulet will now be where you can touch it. (The right exit leads to "The Right Order") Right Room - The Other Way You will be at the bottom of the room and the treasure will be above you. As you walk towards it, a wall will come towards you from either or both sides. Shoot them to send them back. Continue shooting any wall that comes towards you until you grab the flask and exit the room. Bottom Room - Obstacles Just shoot the two enemies in this room. The treasure is in the box at the top. Don't touch the box, since it is just a large exit. Turn into any object to pass the exit and grab the treasure and leave. (The bottom right exit leads to "The Other Way") Left Room - The Right Order Shoot the one, the two, and the three in any order. Continue using all six possible combinations of these numbers until an exit opens on the left. Use it. Bonus Room - Smash The umbrella on the top of the screen in the prize. You must reach it without being hit by the sliding boxes coming from the left or right. The boxes will always leave enough room for your ghost, so all you have to do is take your time on this room. If you are worried about fitting through the boxes, change into the hammer. Ending The game will give you your ranking when you run out of lives or complete the tenth level. The ranking depends on how many points you got. The ranking also depends on which difficulty mode you were on. Just try to be as fast as you can when going for a high score. Enjoy the game.
