This guide's purpose is to inform of the differences between Guilty Gear X and Guilty Gear X Plus. ============================ What has been added/changed? ============================ - Gallery and Story modes have been added to the game. - Kliff Undersn and Justice have been added as playable characters - The Sound Test screen has been changed. You can now pick voices and sound effects to listen to while the background music is playing. - The Key Config screen now lets you set more commands to a button. the new commands are: P+K S+HS P+K+S P+K+S+HS -A Password choice has been added to the Options menu. Passwords for entry in this menu are obtained in Guilty Gear Petit 2 on the WonderSwan Color console. - Training now lets you set the other player to VS Player in the Enemy Setting menu. This allows control by a human. - Training has a new menu called Practice. This lets you pick combos to practice. - Vs has a vitality select that lets you handicap players. Toggle the vitality level with the R1 button. 8 means full health, 1 means 1/8th health. - Gold and black colored characters now have extra powers in Training and Vs. - GG Mode activation has been changed. Once the menu has been enabled R2 must be held down while choosing a character in addition to having GG Mode turned on for that player. - There are now two more ways to enable GG Mode. The first is by completing seven consecutive Challenges in the Gallery. The second is by inputting a password that is obtained from Guilty Gear Petit 2. - The command list in the game now gives names for every move that is listed for every character. Some moves are still unlisted and therefore aren't named. - Ky with GG Mode activated now has his own command list and he is called Robo Ky on that list. I am still testing to see if the command list shows the moves that are added to other characters when GG Mode is activated. ================================================= What are the powers of gold and black characters? ================================================= All black characters have infinite tension. The powers of gold characters depend on which character is chosen. I am pretty sure that I don't have every power listed. Contact me if you know of any other powers for a character. Gold characters have the following powers: -- Ky -- - Small projectile does 3 hits. - Large projectil keeps kitting until it leaves the screen. --- Sol --- - Is always in Dragon Install mode. - Has infinite tension. - Regenerates health. - Moves faster. - Inflicts more damage. - Takes less damage. ------ Millia ------ - Faster movement ---- Zato ---- - Tension gauge charges faster when running/walking towards opponent. - Can summon multiple shadows. Shadow must be turned into mine to call out another. - Shadow stays out until it or Zato is hit. - Inflicts more damage. ----- Venom ----- - Horizontal pool ball charge attack charges up faster. - Tension gauge charges faster when running/walking towards opponent. - Faster movement. - Mid-air Orverdrive attack shoots pool balls that do 3 hits each. --- May --- - Faster movement. - 6 dolphins come out of each ring. ------ Johnny ------ - Mist Finer does critical damage and dizzies most opponents. - Faster and farther dash on ground. - Tension gauge charges faster when running/walking towards opponent. --------- Testament --------- - Grab adds lock-on to opponent. - Grave Digger adds lock-on to opponent. - Bird attacks more often when lock-on is active on opponent. - Faster movement. - Tension gauge charges faster when running/walking towards opponent. ----- Dizzy ----- - Faster movement - Tension gauge charges faster when running/walking towards opponent. - Scythe from Necro keeps hitting until it reaches the top of its range. - Ice beast stays out until it or Dizzy is hit. --- Jam --- - Her kick attacks are always charged. - Inflicts more damage. ----- Faust ----- - Inflicts more damage. - Infinite tension. - Faster backwards movement. - Item throw releases nothing but fireballs. ----- Chipp ----- - Faster movement. - Tension gauge charges faster when running/walking towards opponent. ---- Anji ---- - Tension gauge charges faster when running/walking towards opponent. - Inflicts more damage. -------- Potemkin -------- - Can dash and mid air dash. Justice and Kliff have nothing shown in this menu. Timing is not indicated in the combos, all that is shown is the directions to press and the buttons to press. While you are in Training and have chosen a combo to practice the combo will be displayed at the bottom of the screen and will light up as you correctly pull of parts of it. It will only light up as far as you correctly execute the combo. These combos can be used in Guilty Gear X but you will have no indication while in Training as to whether or not you are doing them correctly. I cannot help you with most of the actual combos because I cannot execute most of them myself. If you have any suggestions on how to execute them please submit them to me and I will give you credit. I could also use an explanation of what each icon means that is shown above the combos, the only ones that I understand are the ones that indicate how much Tension the combo requires. The icons are covered in the manual but I can't read enough Japanese to understand what they mean. A + between attack buttons indicate that those buttons are pressed simultaneously. More characters will be added in the next update.
