Moreover, keeping the pawns alive will help you refill your SP gauge faster. Use fire mode again. On your first turn, position Ogami so that his special attack will hit both feet and Prelude's head. Recharge, then spend your remaining AP on normal attacks. Protect whomever you wish. On Erica's turn, move in a bit, and target Prelude's 3 targets as you did with Ogami. Use Glycine's special attack, recharge, and normal attacks to end your turn. Continue using Ogami and Glycine for special and normal attacks and Erica for normal attacks and healing. Prelude's feet will detonate first, preventing him from hopping away. You should be able to easily defeat Prelude by turn 3 or 4. Although Ogami and the heroine restart at full HP and SP, the exhaust ports keep any damage collected. Maximize your specials to include 2 or preferably 3 palamite within the attack area. Be careful to avoid boxing out teammates at the end of each character's turn. Doing this would prevent the next character from advancing further down the train. The best course for her survival without relying on wind or mountain modes is to destroy the 1 palamite blocking her path and dash toward the wall. By the time she is in the clear, Ogami can greet her from behind via the palamite path, while 3 others can rendevois from the terraced slope. Next, you may want to cautiously heal with Erica (if present) before finally destroying the barrier (100 HP) with a special. Note: If you have obtained the blue medal of honor AND have activated dual specials in Chapters 02-05 & 08, you can instantly end this battle by hitting the first palamite with Ogami's ultimate special. Giant oak tree Free Troupe member x1 [Experience +] SAVE POINT Part 5 Objective: Defeat Aubade (final boss, phase 1) HP: 1200, primary form; 100, secondary form Strategy: Employ normal strategy for the final boss' 3 forms while paying attention to their quirks; use specials for damage, charges to reload, and normals for AP filler. Fire mode (heal with Erica if present) or wind mode (heal command if Erica not presnt). Approximately once per round, Aubade will separate into several clones (100 HP each). Locate the yellow clone by moving the stat command pointer. Destroy this clone with a special or strong combo series to force Aubade to return to normal, then continue your original strategy. Parts 6A, 6B Objective: Defeat Dernier (final boss, phase 2) HP: Approx half of 1800, part 6A; 1800, part 6B Strategy: Fire mode (heal with Erica in parts 6A and/or 6B) or wind mode (heal command if Erica not present in part 6A). Once again, use normal boss strategy (see above). Dernier primarily uses combos with attack areas angled 45 degrees to the left and right. After each of her turns, reposition your characters and continue as usual. Dernier can only be targeted directly in front. Dernier's most dangerous attack creates a void beneath a random character, thereby reducing his/her HP to 1. When the happens, change the battle mode on Ogami's turn to include the heal command if Erica is not present (during part 6A only). Otherwise, double-check Dernier's ticket in the turn order. If Erica comes up sooner in the cue, charge and activate her heal special. When Dernier's HP is reduced by half (part 6A), your heroine will rejoin the troupe, and the battle will reset with everyone including the boss back to full HP (6B). Parts 7A, 7B Objective: Defeat Salut (final boss, phase 3) HP: Toggle ON via L2 to monitor HP throughout battle Strategy: Fire mode and protect your heroine. Heal with Erica. On her turn, Salut (7A, 7B) will condense and reposition the entire combat troupe into the center of the battlefield. This tactic is more an annoyance than a challenge; however, pulling off a dual special with Ogami and your heroine can be easily interrupted. Move each character back to the perimeter after Salut's turn, focusing almost exclusively on charging and activating specials whenever your SP is full. You will rarely have AP left for combos. Salut essentially surrenders in the second half of phase 3 (7B). Although she still can move your entire troupe to the center on each turn, afterward she rarely attacks and instead sits waiting to be finished. Charge and attack with specials.
