U P D A T E S ========================================================================== -------------------------------------------------------------------------- [12/31/2019] - New Year's Eve - 11 KB [FINAL] Just a quick maintenance update after refreshing my full walkthrough after all these years. Save point locations have been edited, added a few FAQs and updated the overall formatting. [12/31/2004] - New Year's Eve - 9 KB Changed the FAQ disclaimer and such at the top, along with other minor changes. [08/04/2003] - 6 KB Updates on the FAQs and some typos in the save point locations. [07/12/2003] - 6 KB Created the FAQ after having the main content stored in a folder for some time doing nothing. Added two FAQs and filled out the rest of the document in a more presentable form. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ========================================================================= 2. F R E Q U E N T L Y A S K E D Q U E S T I O N S ========================================================================= ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: Does this FAQ contain all save points in the game? A: Yes, every single one. Q: How many save points are there? A: The main scenario has 24 and the sub scenario has 3. Q: What do the save points look like? A: Red square sheets of paper. Q: Are there more or fewer save points on different difficulties? A: No, the same ones are available on all difficulty levels. Q: Can I reuse the same save points if I return later on? A: If still in the same area or you're able to return later on, yes. This includes the camper trailer when passing back through at nighttime. Q: What do the red square sheets mean? A: James seems his reflection when he looks into one, signifying a type of reflection, perhaps of the truth he's trying to uncover. It also serves as a connection to the player, representing the metaphorical mirror image of James. Q: Why are there nine save point sheets before the final Pyramid Head Duo boss fight? A: Perhaps they most directly serve as an exclamation point to save your game, signifying you're at the very end with the biggest challenge ahead. But further, save points function as somewhat of a mirror where James sees his reflection, perhaps a metaphor for the truth. Upon viewing the videotape one could say he has finally put the full picture (the truth) together, signified by the nine red squares. Or maybe you should just save your damn game after all. Q: Aren't the nine red squares on one of the game's covers? A: Yes, they are on the cover of the original Japanese PS2 version. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ========================================================================= 3. S A V E P O I N T L O C A T I O N S ========================================================================= ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Save points take the form of red square sheets of paper, often placed on walls or tables. There are a total of 24 found throughout the main scenario while some can be reused at later times. Just three are found in the sub scenario, including one also found in the main scenario. ========================================================================== M A I N S C E N A R I O ========================================================================== East South Vale =============== 1.
