Credits ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I. Story ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1000 years ago, a war raged on the world. Two people led these battles. Two people who really hated each other. Orakio and Laya were their names, and forever they would have an impact on the world. Orakio, with his cunning and brilliance, created cyborgs to help his side for the war. Laya, with her magic powers, created monsters to fight these cyborgs. Orakio and Laya, though they hated each other, agreed on one rule, which would live on even 1000 years after the war; "Kill no living being". This rule prohibited the followers of Orakio (Orakians) from killing the followers of Laya (Layans), and vice versa. Nobody can remember how the war between the two ended, and both sides believed they won. However, what the people didn't know is that the end of the war ended in a truce and a final battle against an evil. Now, 1000 years after the war, a mysterious girl is washed along the shores of Orakio's hometown of Landen. This girl is found by a direct descendant of Orakio and the Prince of Landen named Rhys. Little does Rhys know that this girl's finding would change the world forever. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- II. Characters ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Format: Name Gender Race Techniques Description Note: Non-playable characters will not have anything listed under Techniques (whereas playable characters who can't use techniques will have 'none' listed). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1st Generation: Rhys Male Orakian none Rhys is the main character of the first generation, and is the person who starts the entire adventure. Rhys finds a mysterious girl on the shores of Landen, where he is Prince. The girl knows nothing but her name (Maia) and after a while, Rhys and Maia fall in love. Rhys is all set to marry this girl until a Dragon shows up and kidnaps her on his wedding day. Rhys is a strong swordsman, but cannot use any techniques. Mieu Female Cyborg Healing, Order, Grantz Mieu is one of the many cyborgs created by Orakio 1000 years ago. She is mistaken by a Layan and flees to a lake on the east side of the Landen Dome. When Rhys finds out about a possible Layan, he goes to the Lake to find out. Mieu explains things to Rhys and says that only a descendant of Orakio can control her, thus she joins Rhys, which allows him to go to the Island Cave. Mieu is a very strong fighter and a decent healer who remains through all 3 generations. Wren Male Cyborg Melee, Time Wren is an advanced Siren Model Cyborg that was created by Orakio 1000 years ago. Wren has the ability to fix machines, as well as transform himself into different vehicles. He flees to the Western Cave in Aridia and waits for the descendant of Orakio to come and command him. Wren's weapons will pierce through any enemy defenses with extreme power. His high HP and Power make him a great ally, though his technique power is something left to be desired. Lyle Male Layan Melee Rhys first meets Lyle in the Island Cave in Landen. This mysterious figure gives Rhys the Sapphire which allows him to continue his adventures. Many people in Aquatica refer to Lyle as the Dragon Knight of Shusoran, and with good reason too. Lyle holds a dark secret which he will reveal when the time is right. A decent fighter and technique user. Lena Female Orakian none Lena's story isn't told a whole lot in the game, but the story goes that this Princess of Landen's neighbor, Satera, was once engaged to marry Rhys... that is, before Maia was found. Regardless of her feelings towards Rhys, Lena helps Rhys escape after being thrown in the Landen Dungeon. She later shows up in Shusoran and again, putting her feelings for Rhys aside, aids Rhys in his quest to save Maia. Lena is a weak fighter and should be kept in the back of the party. Maia Female Layan Maia is the mystery girl that Rhys finds washed up on the shores of Landen. Though she cannot remember who she really us, the dragon that kidnaps her takes her back to her home in Cille, where it is revealed that she is the Princess. No wonder many people were against the wedding. King Cille Male Layan King Cille is the father of Maia. After Maia mysteriously disappears, he sends his nephew Lyle to find her and bring her back. He solely hates Orakians and wants nothing to do with them, including letting his daughter marry Rhys. However, his views will change shortly after meeting with Rhys. 2nd Generation: Nial Male Orakian none Nial is the son of Rhys and Lena and is the Prince of the now unionized Landen and Satera kingdoms. When stronger monsters appear and attack Satera, Lena pleas with Nial to go and investigate the cause of it. After the investigation, Nial decides to go find the man responsible for the attacks, an old Layan named Lune. Nial cannot use techniques like is parents, but he is much stronger than his father. Ryan Male Layan Time Ryan is the leader of the Rebel Army against the evils of Lune. Not much is known about him other than that. When Nial first finds him, Ryan believes that he is one of Lune's men... that is until Lune shows up and torments the two about having the same cause, yet fighting against each other. Ryan then believes Nial and goes along with him. Much like Lyle from the 1st generation, but only much stronger. Laya Female Layan Heal, Order This is NOT the Laya that fought Orakio in the war 1000 years ago, but the baby sister of Laya. Laya left little Laya to go fight Orakio when little Laya was... uh... little. Laya asks Nial to help her find the truth and begs Nial to sidetrack to Mystoke on Frigidia. Laya can use her sister's bow, but is physically weak at using it. However, she is a powerful healer. Alair Female Layan Alair was once one of the commanders of Laya's Army. Orakio, however, sealed her along with her brother Lune on the Satellite Dahlia in order to weaken Laya's Attack. She, with Lune, was sealed 1000 years until the actions of Rhys and his party awakened her and her brother. Realizing their wrong from 1000 years ago, Alair goes to Divisia to try and talk to the King... only to be thrown in jail. She is released by Nial during his trip through Divisia. Lune Male Layan Lune was once the high commander of Laya's Army. One day, Orakio sealed him and his sister Alair aboard the Satellite Dahlia for 1000 years. Lune sore revenge on any of Orakio's followers the day he was sealed. After Rhys woke the Satellites up, the seal was broken and Lune began to keep his promise by attacking. Shortly after losing to Nial, he will see Laya and see the error of his evil ways. Later, during the 3rd generation, he will become the father to a girl named Kara. Ayn Male 1/2 Orakian, 1/2 Layan Heal, Time The young Prince of Cille, Ayn is the son of Rhys and Maia. 15 years after being born, the monster population dies out and is overrun by Cyborgs, who are much stronger than monsters. Rhys asks Ayn to find out about a legend called Satellite. Shortly after leaving, Cille and Shusoran is attacked by the Cyborgs, forcing Rhys, Maia, and King Lyle of Shusoran to flee to Aridia. Ayn sets off to find out who is sending all these Cyborgs. Unlike his father, Ayn can use techniques, but also is a bit weaker than his old man (considering he is also only 15 years old). Thea Female Layan Heal, Melee The weak daughter of King Lyle (which actually makes her and Ayn 3rd cousins), Thea is kidnapped by the Cyborgs when Shusoran is attacked. Lyle pleads with Ayn to rescue her. After being rescued, Thea helps Ayn out in his adventure. One day, Lyle shows up to give Ayn and Thea one last helping hand, and then tells both Ayn and Thea his dying secret before he passes away. Thea then swears to get revenge on the Cyborgs for killing her father. Sari Female Orakian none If Rhys married Maia, Sari will become the daughter of Lena. Sari is very upset at Rhys for marrying Maia 15 years back, and thus doesn't like Ayn one bit. The marriage of Rhys and Maia left Lena alone, and is believed to have died of heartbreak, thus leaving Sari to become Queen of Landen and Satera. After Ayn and party defeat her, Sari gains some respect for him and joins on his quest. Sari is much, MUCH more powerful than any character in the game. High HP and High Attack make her a powerful force. Siren Male Cyborg Siren was built by Orakio 1000 years ago and commanded one of Orakio's armies. Siren, like Lune and Alair, was sealed away, but this time on the Satellite Azure (which is the Legendary Satellite). When Rhys awakens the Satellites, Siren awakens and craves revenge on all of Laya's followers, who sealed him away in the first place. A very stubborn cyborg and an older model of Wren. 3rd Generation: Adan Male 1/2 Orakian, 1/2 Layan Heal, Megido Adan is the Prince of Landen/Satera, the son of Nial and Laya, and the twin brother of Gwyn. After years of peace, trouble starts up again when Gwyn starts having strange dreams. Nial says first to go find his old friend Lune and ask for help. Adan was all set to go alone with Mieu and Wren when Gwyn said that he wasn't going anywhere without her. He is a strong fighter and can heal very well. Gwyn Female 1/2 Orakian, 1/2 Layan Heal, Order Gwyn is the Princess of Landen/Satera and twin sister of Adan. Gwyn starts to experience strange dreams about a Dark Force and is bothered by it until she leaves on her quest with Adan. Very much like her mother, Laya. Actually, every bit like her, as far as strength and techniques go. Aron Male 1/2 Orakian, 1/2 Layan Heal, Megido After the Alisa III finds another spaceship like it, and starts firing at it, Nial asks his son Aron to go help investigate the matter. Aron is the son of Nial and Alair (if that path was chosen) and is the cousin to Kara. Aron is quite strong in both fighting and healing. Kara Female Layan Heal, Order/Melee There are two different versions of Kara. The first version is if Rhys decided to marry Lena. That version will be a sweet-hearted girl who grew up with a peaceful father. This one will be able to use Heal and Order Techniques. The other version is if Rhys decided to marry Maia. That version will be more of a rough tomboy who is mad at her father, Lune, for being so weak. This one uses Melee techniques. The sweet-hearted version, although weaker than the tomboy version, can use Healing techniques and levels up a lot faster, actually making the sweet-hearted version of Kara much stronger than the tomboy version. Crys Male 3/4 Orakian, 1/4 Layan Time, Megido When Siren is expected of attacking once again, Ayn and his wife Sari ask Crys to go find the problem. Crys is the Prince of the Landen/Satera Kingdom and in fact is the strongest Orakian Male in the game (his mother is Sari, what more can you ask for?) However, this is the toughest final character in the entire game, as he is the only one who cannot heal. Sean Male 1/4 Orakian, 3/4 Layan Heal, Melee, Time, Megido Ayn and Thea live in peace on Azure until the Alisa III starts to fire at it, destroying it. Sean, Mieu, and Wren retreat as Ayn and Thea stay there, dying with their home. Sean crash lands on Aridia and decides to find out who killed his parents and destroyed his home. Sean is the weakest final character, but not by much. He can use a lot of techniques and still fight strongly. But the fact that he is his own cousin kinda confuses a lot of people. Laya Female Layan Heal, Order This is NOT the Laya that fought Orakio in the war 1000 years ago, but the baby sister of Laya. Laya left little Laya to go fight Orakio when little Laya was... uh... little. If Nial married Alair, Laya will join Aron's quest, saying that she was a bit upset when Nial married her, and left for home, giving him Laya's Pendant and leaving. If Rhys married Maia, she will ask either Sean or Crys to help her find the truth about her sister. Laya can use her sister's bow, but is physically weak at using it. However, she is a powerful healer. Siren Male Cyborg During the 3rd generation, Siren will show up again on Sage Isle, but when he is found, he apologizes to our hero for the hatred that he had for Layans. He dies soon after, leaving the Siren's Shot. Miun Female Cyborg Miun looks a lot like Mieu except for the fact that half of her face was destroyed. 1000 years ago, she was badly wounded in battle for her creator, Orakio, and thus lost most of her memory (and sanity). Miun spent 1000 years wandering the deserts of Aridia looking for Orakio and his Black Sword. Once the hero pulls the sword out and shows it to Miun, Miun will be so overjoyed that she will collapse and die, leaving the Miun's Claw. Rulakir Male Orakian 1000 years of hatred has kept Rulakir alive after the war between Laya and his brother, Orakio. Rulakir is the twin brother of Orakio and has been living on LaShute, spreading terror to all. Though he is Orakian, he can use techniques still (as you will find out when you fight him). After being defeated, his hatred is released and he finally rests in peace with his brother. Dark Force ??? Demon What is a Phantasy Star game without Dark Force? Every 1000 years, this demon returns to spread evil and destroy life. Orakio and Laya, settling their differences after being deceived by Dark Force, decided to fight it. They both sacrificed their lives to seal Dark Force on Landen. And 1000 years later, the foolish person who pulls the Sword of Orakio releases Dark Force who is then able to spread pain and suffering among the Alisa III. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- III. Walkthrough ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: This walkthrough will be quick and to the point. Just follow it and you should be all set. You don't have to talk to people in town unless I recommend it. Anything on the side you want to do is fine, but this walkthrough will be very straightforward with some storyline. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- a. Rhys' Walkthrough ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The game goes through a small introduction before you are brought to the town of Landen, where you take control of Rhys, the Prince of Landen. And guess what? Today is his wedding day? Landen Town: Head to the castle in the north part of town. You have to find your bride, Maia. Once you find her (shouldn't be that hard), Rhys will walk her to the throne room and announce his marriage. Just then, a Dragon comes down and kidnaps Maia, calling Rhys a filthy Orakian. Hearing this, Rhys gets mad and says that he will destroy the Layans. His father, however, believes that a war with the Layans is not smart, then sends Rhys to the dungeon. Landen Dungeon: Treasures: Knife, 300 Meseta, Monitor There isn't much to do in the dungeon. Grab the 3 treasures in the cell and head to the gate, where you will meet Lena. Lena will unlock the gate and let Rhys escape. Rhys will walk out and exit through the secret passage in the Technique Distribution Shop. Landen Town: Back in Landen, sell the Knife and buy Rhys a Short Sword and equip it. Landen: Go outside of town now and fight the Chirpers around the town. Sure, they only offer 1 EXP and 1 Meseta, but level up to level 2 for now. Fight around until you have enough money for a Hunting Armor and a Hunting Helmet. Then head south to the town of Yaata. Yaata: Buy a few Monomates and Antidotes. By now, you will need it. The real reason you're here though is to find the Old Man with the boat that's parked outside. The Old Man is on the east side of town by a fountain. Talk to him and he will say that he'll let you on his boat only if you bring a Cyborg along. Well, so where are we going to find one? Do a little more leveling, probably up to level 4 or 5, and then head east from Yaata and go south at the bridge. There will be the town of Ilan here. Ilan: Rest up here and buy some more Monomates and Antidotes if you have the money. Here, you need to talk to one of the men at the north end of town. When one says that he saw a Layan over by the Lake, you can exit town. Go past the bridge again and head east, and then northeast until you reach a small lake. Here you should find Mieu, who will be more than happy to join Rhys. Mieu is the Cyborg you are looking for. With that in mind, head back to Yaata. Yaata: First off, make sure Mieu has 2 Claws. Level her up to level 3 and buy plenty of Monomate. Then you can talk to the Old Man again. He will let you on his boat Embark the boat and he will take you to the Island Cave. Island Cave: Treasures: Escapipe, Shield, Dimate, Antidote, Sapphire The Monsters in here aren't too tough. You've seen most of them. This cave is pretty straight forward, just make your way to the left and eventually you find a man at the upper-left side of the Island Cave. He is Lyle, and he gives you the Sapphire. Now with this item, you can enter the passage from Landen to Aquatica. Exit the Island Cave and head back to Yaata. Yaata: Rest up here and sell the Shield if you got it. Buy some Monomates if you are running slim on them. An Escapipe would be good around this time as well. Make sure Rhys is at level 5, and Mieu is at level 3. When you are set, go east from Yaata into the middle of the mountains and into the cave. The Sapphire will glow and let you inside. Landen-Aquatica Passage: Treasures: Antidote, Monomate There are many passages like this in the world, and they all get pretty complicated. The monsters are tougher here and will require a bit more work. Use the Escapipe if you need it. The treasures aren't worth getting, so don't bother unless you want to. From the entrance, go up and then right to the end. Go down and take the first right path you come to. Go right and down at the fork, then follow until you come to a crossing. Go right and follow, then take the last right to the exit. You will now be in Aquatica. Aquatica: Behold! You have mysteriously entered the state of Maine! (j/k) Actually this is Aquatica, but it is a bit frozen right now. From the exit, head east to the iced water and then south a bit to the town of Rysel. Rysel: Seems here that people are dying due to the cold. Looks like you have to fix this problem yourself. Anyway, take and buy Mieu a pair of Hunting Claws and a Hunting Vest. Buy Rhys a Steel Armor while you're at it. If you don't have the money, go outside and fight a little bit until you have the money. In doing this, Rhys should be around level 8 by now. Don't worry if you're one off on levels, just make sure he's close. Once you have the equipment and the levels, head south past the bridge and then go west. You'll see 2 ruined fortresses there. From the north-most fortress, go south and you will enter the secret passage to Aridia. Aquatica-Aridia Passage: Treasures: Dimate x2, Antidote The monsters here shouldn't give you much trouble now, as they were the same as they were in the last passage. Again though, the treasures aren't worth the effort, though in your travel you will encounter two of them. From the entrance, go left, then down. Go left again, then up and take the first left path you see. From there, just follow the path, not taking any sidetracks. To find out if you did it right, you should find a treasure chest. From that chest, go up and continue in the same way until you find another one. From this chest, go down all the way and to the left and you will enter Aridia. Aridia: OK, so now we've left Maine and entered Texas. Remind me to look for that underground passage somewhere near Fort Halifax. (just kidding). Anyway, Aridia is nothing but a big desert (hence the name). You have to make your way to the town of Hazatak, which is right at the top of the river in this dome. Make your way southwest from the exit of the passage. If you're lost, just use your monitor, as there aren't a whole lot of landmarks to go by. Enter Hazatak once you get there. Hazatak: Hazatak is nothing but a town of Cyborgs. One of them will talk about a Wren Cyborg that is in the Western Cave. You now know where to go. But, before you attempt the Western Cave, buy Rhys a Sword. Also, buy a Head Gear and a Hunting Shot. Yeah, nobody can use it right now, but buy them anyway. Trust me on this call. Rest up and exit town. Head directly west from town and enter the first cave you see. This is the Western Cave. Western Cave: Treasures: Dimate, Escapipe This cave isn't too hard to make your way through. The monsters here are tougher (especially the Grinder), so it is very important that you find Wren ASAP. The cave layout itself is simple. Just make your way to the top from the entrance, and then head left. Towards the left side, there is a path going down. Take it and head right afterwards. Don't worry about the treasures right now. Continue right until you find a big open area. Go up and you will find Wren, who will join. Give him the Hunting Shot and Head Gear. If you have the energy, walk out of the cave. If not, find the Escapipe in the gave if you don't have one and use it. Head back to Hazatak. Hazatak: Rest up again and hopefully you'll have enough money to buy Wren a Protector. If not, fight around until you can get him one. Now it is time to fix the weather in Aquatica. To do that, exit Hazatak and head east a bit until you reach the mountain range at the east-most part, then go south. It may take a while to find, but just east of Laya's Temple near the southeastern most mountain range, is the Control Tower. Enter it. Control Tower: Treasures: Monomate, Antidote The Control Tower has two floors to it, but right now, don't attempt to go to the upper floor. The monsters here are even harder, but nothing you can't handle if you're close to level 9 or 10. Head up from the entrance and you should see a stairway. Ignore it and go right, past the 2nd set of stairs you see. Keep going and you will eventually run into Lyle. This time, he will join you, saying that Wren can fix the system. Give him the Cape that you bought. After he joins, continue going right and take the first path going down. Follow and you will come to the Weather Control System. Wren will be able to fix it. Check it out and Wren will fix it, thawing out Aquatica. Lyle will be grateful to you and ask that you come see his home in Aquatica. Exit the Control Tower. Aridia: If you have enough strength left, head north back to the Passage to Aquatica, else head to Hazatak and rest up. Either way, go back to Aquatica (I think you know how to get back there through the passage, just retrace your steps from the first time you went through). Aquatica: Finally, a Maine summer! Anyway, remember the boat by the town of Rysel? Well, you can now freely use it. Embark it and you will be taken to the Island in the middle of Aquatica. There are two towns on this island. Agoe, which is on the right, and Shusoran, which is the upper one. Go to Agoe first. Agoe: Agoe is the only Orakian-controlled Kingdom on Aquatica. In town, buy a Steel Vest for Mieu and a Steel Gear for Wren. Once you have this, exit down and head north to Shusoran. Shusoran: The town is completely deserted. Well, not completely, as the shops are open. Get Rhys a Steel Sword and Ceramic Armor and Wren a Ceramic Shot. If you don't have the money, you know what to do. Make sure you get the Ceramic Shot, as it will attack all enemies within a row. Very handy. Once you have everything, buy Rhys a few Dimates for some added healing. Rest up. Now, you have to get into the castle. But the gates are locked? How do you get in you ask? Well, go to the upper left side of town. There should be a fountain there. Walk into it from the bottom and you will enter the Dungeon. Shusoran Dungeon: Treasures: Trimate x3 Monsters will start getting tougher again. Don't worry about the Trimate here unless you want to explore and get it (there is only one you can get right now if you go up from the entrance). From the entrance, go right all the way and then up to the exit. Shusoran Castle: You will arrive inside the castle now. Head up and left to the left-most part of the castle. There is a door inside the building itself. Enter it and go left and up to the stairs back inside the dungeon. Shusoran Dungeon: There is another Trimate in this area if you want it. It is in the room to the left of the entrance to this part of the dungeon. Anyway, from the entrance, head down, right, and up to the next set of stairs. Shusoran Castle: Now, go up and left all the way and then down. Rhys will notice that Lena is in the castle. Lyle says that he found her and tells Rhys to fight for her. Lyle leaves and heads to the throne-room. Follow him. Before talking to Lyle, restore Rhys' HP completely. Then, talk to Lyle to enter a one-on-one fight with him. Boss: Lyle HP: ?? Techs: Zan Hopefully you didn't level up Lyle, because it will hurt you. The more Max HP Lyle had before he left your party, the more HP he will have in this fight. Lyle can be hard alone, but if Rhys has some Dimates, he should be alright. All Rhys can do is attack, so do that. Zan will do some damage, as will his normal attacks. If Rhys' HP falls below 20 HP, use a Dimate. Keep up the attacks and Lyle will fall eventually. After the defeat, Lyle will rejoin the party, as will Lena, saying that in order to get to Maia, you have to backtrack to Aridia and set the Satellites back in their normal position. In order to do that, you need to use her Moon Stone and Lyle's Moon Tear. Now that you have Lena, the Castle will have guards and people now. Exit Shusoran Castle via the south gate. If you have the money, buy Lena a pair of Ceramic Needlers. If you don't, fight around and level Lena up a bit. Also buy her a Steel Chest. Once you have her equipped, rest up and take the boat back to the mainland. Aquatica: Head back to the passage and head to Aridia. Aridia: Make your way back to the Control Tower. Control Tower: Head back to where you fixed the Weather Control System. From there, go down and ignore the stairs. Go left all the way and then up to the stairs. Control Tower F2: Treasures: Trimate x2, Antidote The monsters on the 2nd floor are a bit tougher than on the first floor, but you should have no problem. Besides, you won't be on this floor long. Go down and left and you'll see the Satellite Control System. Wren will use the Moon Stone and Moon Tear and the two moons will come closer together. Now you are done with this place. Exit and head back to Aquatica. Aquatica: Take the boat back to the island, and enter Shusoran. Shusoran: Rest up here. Now it's time to upgrade the equipment. Buy Mieu a Hunting Ribbon, Wren a Steel Protector, and Lyle a Steel Cape and two Steel Staves. Your party should look something like this: Rhys: Mieu: Wren: Hunting Helmet Hunting Ribbon Steel Gear Steel Sword 2x Steel Claw Ceramic Shot Ceramic Armor Steel Vest Steel Protector Boots Lyle: Lena: 2x Steel Staff 2x Ceramic Needlers Steel Cape Steel Chest Boots Boots Make sure you have this equipment (though if you have better helmets or stuff, it's OK. Now, head to the Shusoran Castle and exit the north gate. Aquatica: From Shusoran, head north. If you stand at the north-most spot just right, a land bridge will appear. Take the land bridge north to enter the town of Cille. Cille: Unless you have no life whatsoever, don't spend the time trying to get the equipment here. The weapons here are the strongest in the game (and thus most expensive) and the armor here is quite a ways above what you have now. What you have right now is perfect. What you want to do right now is alter some techniques. Go to the Technique Shop and alter Mieu's Order Techniques to favor Fanbi and Lyle's Techniques to favor Zan. Also stock up on Dimate. Rest up and save. Now you have to get into the castle. But like in Shusoran, the gate is locked. So, you probably know by now to use the fountain. Yeah? Well which one? There is 8 of them. Well, the one you want is the 3rd fountain from the far left side. Enter it. Cille Dungeon: Treasures: Antidote, Trimate, Escapipe Though the dungeon here is large, it can easily be navigated. Just keep your HP up. From where you enter, follow the only place you can go until you come to a fork. Go right and then all the way up at the end. Go left all the way and down at the end to the stairs. This will take you to Cille Castle. Cille Castle: Go up and make your way around to the front of the castle. Enter through the door and go left. Wind your way around until you get to the throne room. Standing in the corner will be Maia, and in front of her, King Cille, her father. Fill up your HP and talk to him. He will challenge you to a fight. Boss: King Cille, 6 Dryads HP: 400 HP 62 HP Techs: Zan GiRes This fight isn't too tough. Have Wren attack the Dryads and Lyle use Zan on them. That should wipe them out. Have Lena attack King Cille, Mieu use Fanbi on Rhys, and Rhys attack. After one round, it should be just King Cille left. Chances are, he'll use Zan. Keep up your HP and just lay out the attacks and King Cille will soon fall. After defeating King Cille, he will yield to Rhys and offer Maia to marry him afterall. But, you now have a decision. Marry Maia and become King of Cille, or marry Lena and become King of Landen and Satera. The choice is yours. If you choose Maia, you will have a son named Ayn. If you choose Lena, you will have a son named Nial. Note: Press Ctrl+F on Internet Explorer and type "b. Nial's Walkthrough" for Nial, or "e. Ayn's Walkthrough" for Ayn. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- b. Nial's Walkthrough. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Landen Town: Rhys decides to marry Lena, thus creating a union between Landen and Satera. They have a son named Nial and rule in peace for 18 years. Then one day, something attacks Satera. Lena begs Nial to find out what the problem is and Rhys says to take Mieu and Wren with him. If you wish to check the Landen Dungeon for some items, go ahead. Not much there though. Exit the castle and the town. Landen: Remember the kingdom right to the left of Landen but was not accessible because of the river? Well, a bridge will be there now. Cross it and enter Satera. Satera: When you arrive, the castle will be in shambles. Only one guard will be there, and all he can say is to run before "Lune" gets back and tells of monsters coming from the cave to the south. Landen: If you've fought already, you may have noticed that monsters are a bit tougher than before. Make sure you have some Dimates with you, as most likely you will need them. From Satera, head south along the west side of the lake. At the southern point of the dome should be a cave. Enter this passageway. Landen-Elysium Passage: Treasures: Ceramic Ribbon, Laser Shot, Ceramic Shield The items are finally worth getting here. Just make sure you can withstand the damage these monsters will inflict. From the entrance, go all the way down to the bottom, left, then up all the way to the top. To the left will be a Ceramic Ribbon for Mieu. Go back right and down. Take the 2nd path going left that you come to and follow until you see a path going up. This path goes to a Laser Shot for Wren. Give it to him, as it will help you very much. Go back down and all the way left to the exit. If you want to get the Ceramic Shield just for the money, go up all the way and then right a bit and it will be there. Exit the passage. Elysium: From the exit of the cave, go southwest a little bit until you reach the town of Divisia. North Divisia: As you may have guessed, this town is divided. The castle is right in the middle of the two towns and the only way to the other side is through the dungeon. Rest up here and buy some Dimates. Go south into the castle. Divisia Castle: Enter the castle and go to the bottom, then to the left and up to the Throne Room. You don't have to talk to anyone, though the King says that he isn't sure whether locking up Lune's Sister Alair was the right thing to do. No matter. From the throne room, go left and take the stairs to the dungeon. Divisia Dungeon: Treasures: Trimate, Antidote This dungeon really isn't hard to get through, it's the monsters here that make this dungeon annoying. Just do the best you can to fight them. Wren's Laser Shot should make things easier for you. Anyway, from the entrance, go up and right. Follow the path until you can go left again. Go left all the way and then up. Follow into the cell where Alair will await you. Alair will thank Nial for saving her and say that her brother Lune has gone crazy. She leaves to try to stop Lune. Exit the other side of the cell and take the stairs back to the castle. Divisia Castle: Just exit the castle, shouldn't be that hard to do. South Divisia: This is where you'll want to upgrade your equipment, which is in dire need of being upgraded. Buy Nial a Force Armor, Mieu a pair of Ceramic Claws and a Ceramic Vest, and buy Wren a Laconian Shot and a Ceramic Protector. The Laconian Shot is not needed, but I highly recommend getting it, as it will make your life much easier. Buy some Dimates and rest up. The people around town will mention something about a group of rebels that are hiding out in the cave to the west of town. Might as well investigate. Exit town. Elysium: Navigating this world through the Monitor can be a difficult task. The reason being is that the Monitor doesn't show the water that is in this world. Anyway, go west a bit then north. Once you pass the north-most group of trees, go west and then go south at the end of that path. There should be a bit of water to your left. If not, make your way west some more till you get there. Anyway, follow the water down and the cave will be there. Rebel's Cave: Treasures: Force Helmet, Hunting Bandanna, Ceramic Gear, Laser Claw, Laser Sword, Sub Parts Again, be careful of the monsters here. 3 characters is still not quite enough to handle all of them. From the entrance, go straight up till you hit a wall. Go left and up to a Force Helmet (get it!) or go right to continue. Along the trail you should find a Hunting Bandanna. No one can use it yet, but hang onto it. Now continue right to the end and down a bit. Take the first path going left you find to get the Ceramic Gear for Wren. Go back to where you got the Hunting Bandanna and go down and right a bit. When you reach the bottom, go left and when you reach a big opening, Nial will be taken to see the Rebel Leader, Ryan. Ryan will believe that Nial and his party are followers of Lune. The two will argue for a bit until Lune appears and tells Ryan to disband the rebellion... or else. Lune leaves and Ryan apologizes for not believing Nial. He then joins the party, saying that he has Submersible parts for Wren. Go left a bit to get the Sub Parts, along with a Laser Claw and Laser Sword. Equip the weapons and give Ryan the Hunting Bandanna that you found. Exit the cave. Elysium: Make your way back to Divisia. South Divisia: Now you're gonna have to do some slight backtracking. But before you do, buy Ryan a pair of Laser Staves and a Laconian Cape. This will really help you out. Go back to the castle and make your way through the dungeon again back to North Divisia. North Divisia: Rest up and head northeast a bit back to the passage to Landen. Make your way back to Landen. Landen: Walk north back to Landen Town and rest up there. Then go southeast and hug the lake until you see a small mountain at the south end of the dome. Before, you wouldn't be able to get in, but with Ryan's Twins Ruby, you can get in. Landen-Aridia Passage: Treasures: Force Claw, Force Knife, Force Sword This passage will take you back to Aridia (since the path to Aquatica is blocked off by Lune). Monsters keep getting tougher, but with Ryan loaded like he is, it shouldn't be much of a problem. Go down all the way, right, and up for the Force Claw. Go right a bit. If you want the Force Knife, go up, but if you want to continue, go right. To the right also leads to a Force Sword. Go right all the way and then down to exit. Aridia: Same ol' hot spot. You probably want to rest up right now. Head to Hazatak (you must know where it is by now). Hazatak: Rest up here and by some Dimates. Some of the Cyborgs here will say that there is a whirlpool just south of the town. Aridia: Hug the left side of the river just south of Hazatak. Before you know it, Wren will put those Sub Parts to good use and turn into a Submersible. Doing this will take you into a hidden world under Aridia. Secret World: Enjoy the music while you can. This world has no monsters in it, so don't worry about being attacked. Take your time to look around and enjoy the music if you wish to. The only place in this secret world is the Temple. Enter it. Laya's Temple: Inside this temple are many elders who talk about the Orakio-Laya war. Step onto the alter at the top of the temple and a girl will appear. It's Laya! Well, not the same Laya from the war. If you paid attention to the elders, then you'd know that this is Laya's little sister Laya (I know, confusing). She says that Laya left with a man with a Black Sword when she was just a baby. She wants to know what happened, and therefore asks Nial to take her with him. Laya joins the party. Laya is very weak, but carries the Mystery Star, which will help you get to your next destiny. Go back to the whirlpool in which you came from and Wren will take you back to Aridia. Aridia: Since Laya is so weak, I recommend leveling her up. She will level up very fast, all you have to do is keep her alive. Get her up to a good enough level to where she doesn't gain levels every 2 or 3 fights. Also, I recommend you alter her Heal Techniques to favor GiRes (this will save you on buying healing items). Once you are ready, from Hazatak, go southwest until you reach a cave. Enter this passageway. Aridia-Frigidia Passage: Treasures: Ceramic Crown, Ceramic Bow, Force Staff, Laser Knife Your main goal is to keep Laya alive while going through this passage. There are some handy pieces of equipment to get. If you head a bit left and down from the entrance, eventually you'll come to a Ceramic Crown. Give it to Laya and head back to the entrance. Go directly left from the entrance this time. Keep going left and you'll get a Ceramic Bow. Give that to Laya as well (note that you cannot sell her Laya's Bow, you'll see why soon enough). Continue going left and you'll find a Force Staff for Ryan at the end of the area. From there, go down and the exit should be to your left. Frigidia: Don't worry about the snow. They don't call this world Frigidia for nothing. It's cold and frigid, hence the name, so don't worry about having to fix the weather in this world. You've got quite a long walk ahead of you. Your best bet is to keep checking the Monitor and make your way to the peninsula in the center of the dome. From the Passage, go west and south. Hug the lake if you can, but be patient, as it is quite a long way to walk. When you eventually do come to the middle peninsula, go up to the end of it and there will be the town of Mystoke. Mystoke: The people in Mystoke will basically be praising the return of Laya's kin. Some people will point to their castle, telling Laya to go there. Before you do go into Mystoke Castle, time to do a bit of shopping. Whatever you do, do NOT buy the armor here. The armor in Mystoke is the strongest in the game, and it would take you forever to get the money for it. Just buy Wren a Cannon and Laya a Laser Bow. Give the Ceramic Bow to either Mieu or Wren for safe keeping (again, you'll see why when this quest ends). Also, if you have the money, it would be wise to buy Ryan a Laconian Staff or two. Expensive, but powerful. Rest and save, then head up to Mystoke Castle. Mystoke Castle: Treasures: Laya's Pendant This castle/dungeon setting is a pain in the bum. You have to find your way to the dungeon, then take a bunch of stairs leading up to the castle and back down to the dungeon. But, lucky for you that I'm here. I didn't have any fancy walkthroughs when I first played this game, and I still beat it with ease. :p Anyway, enough of my rambling. From the castle gate, go up until you find a wall, then go left. When you find a bunch of trees, take the 2nd path going up and follow to the top. Go right all the way to some more trees. Go down the path just before the right wall's path. This will take you to the dungeon. Mystoke Dungeon: Treasures: Antidote, Trimate Now here is where things get tricky, so pay attention. From the entrance to the dungeon, go left, up, and left. Take the stairs there. This will take you back to the castle, where there is another set of stairs right beside of it. Take those to the dungeon, then the ones next to it back to the castle, then the ones next to that back to the dungeon. Back in the dungeon now, go left and down. Take the first path you see going right and go up from there. Grab the treasure if you want, but take the stairs back to the castle, and yet again, take the stairs right next to it back to the dungeon. Go right, but don't take the set of stairs you see. Go down from those stairs to another set of stairs. Back in the castle, take the next set of stairs back to the dungeon, then go up and take the final set of stairs. Now you're in the Throne Room of the castle. I can see why nobody rules this kingdom, as the castle is impossible to get through. I would have hated to be the maid in this castle (OK, so I went off again). Anyway, open the treasure chest and receive the single most useful item in the game; Laya's Pendant. Before trying to make your way out of the castle and dungeon, use Laya's Pendant. When you use it, you will access a message in which Laya (the older one) tells her baby sister Laya that her and Orakio were deceived and joined forces to fight an ancient evil. At last, Laya knows what happened. Well, either way, you still have to worry about Lune. Backtrack and make your way out of the Castle. Mystoke: Rest up and save here. Now, you're done with Frigidia for a while. You're almost done, but you have to get back to Elysium first. If you don't have a Laconian Staff for Ryan, get one. If you can buy two, go for it. Exit the town. Frigidia: Again, it is time to be patient. Now you have to go back. From Mystoke, head south and then west. Hug the lake again if you can and head north. Towards the northwest side of the dome there will be a cave in which you cannot access. But, if you're where I think you are, there should be a temple just to the right of the cave. This is one of many of Laya's Temples, and with Laya's Pendant, you can now access them. Go inside the temple and up to the alter, where you will warp to another dome instantly. Elysium: If you took the right Temple, you will end up in southern Elysium. If you ended up in Aridia, go back to Frigidia and go west a bit more. Head north from the Temple to the town of Aerone. Aerone: You can upgrade your equipment here if you'd like, but most of it isn't recommended for now. Just buy a Laconian Armor and Force Vest. If you do have the money though, buy Wren a Pulse Cannon. That will make things a LOT easier for you. Buy some Dimates, alter Laya's Techniques to favor GiRes and Fanbi, then rest up and save. Now, this is the minimal equipment I recommend having. Nial: Mieu: Wren: Force Helmet Ceramic Ribbon Ceramic Gear Force Sword Force Claw Cannon (Pulse Cannon Optional) Laconian Armor Laser Claw Ceramic Protector Force Boots Ceramic Vest Ryan: Laya: Hunting Bandanna Ceramic Crown Laconian Staff (2x Optional) Laser Bow Force Staff Fiblira Laconian Cape Boots Boots OK, so where do you go now? Well, some people will point out walking east along the road. Well, from the road at the south part of town, go directly east and you will find a hidden passageway. Aerone Hanger: Treasures: Monomate There isn't much to this place. A couple of monsters but no big deal. Just go up and left at the end. This will take you to the Shuttle. The shuttle will blast off and take you out of the Hanger, out of Aerone, and out of Elysium. As you're flying to the purple moon, Dahlia, Nial will realize that the 7 worlds are just a spaceship. Some questions arise now, but now isn't the time to worry about it, as all of your questions will be answered eventually. Dahlia: The monsters are going to get tricky now, so if you want to save any life you have, you have to quickly navigate Dahlia. From the Shuttle's landing site, go down and go up the first set of stairs you see to the left. Keep going left and up the next set of stairs. Now you should be in a room with a glass floor. From there, go left and there will be a set of stairs to take you down to the dungeon. Dahlia Dungeon: Treasures: Force Gear, Force Crown Grab the two treasures and give them both to Wren, equipping the Force Gear. Use some items to heal. Don't worry, there is only one enemy in this dungeon, and you'll know when you fight him. From the stairs, go left, then down, left and up again. You will eventually run into Lune. Naturally, he will not back down, and you'll have to fight him now. Boss: Lune, 3 Murafires, 3 Cliques HP: 1925 HP 120 HP 133 HP Techs: Tsu Foi Foi Unlike your previous two boss battles, this one will take a while and will most likely hurt a lot if you are at a low level. 14 or 15 is usually good to have Nial at if you wish to fight Lune, but even then, a good strategy will take you far. Have Wren ALWAYS attack Lune. Laya should cast Fanbi on Ryan on the first round, and use GiRes or heal as needed. Nial, Mieu, and Ryan should take out the front row first, then work on Lune. Lune uses Tsu, which will hurt quite a bit. If someone's HP should fall below 30 or 40, heal them quickly, as another shot of Tsu or a physical attack by Lune will most likely kill them. If everyone's HP is high enough, unleash everything on Lune. Wren and Ryan should deal quite a lot of damage to him. After Lune falls, he will notice Laya's Pendant, and see the wrong he has done. He will call off the war and thank Nial for freeing Alair and for freeing his spirit from evil. Now that Nial's quest is over, Lune will tell Nial that both Laya and Alair have expressed interests in marrying him. Marry Laya and peace between both Orakians and Layans will finally come as you rule Landen and Satera. Marry Alair and Nial will become King of Dahlia. Nial and Laya would produce a son named Adan, while Nial and Alair will have a son named Aron. Note: Press Ctrl+F on Internet Explorer and type "c. Aron's Walkthrough" for Aron, or "d. Adan's Walkthrough" for Adan. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- c. Aron's Walkthrough. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dahlia: Nial decides to marry Alair and Lune names him King of the Satellite Dahlia. Nial and Alair give birth to their son Aron while shortly after Lune becomes a father to a girl named Kara. For 18 years, Kara and Aron live happily as cousins, until one day... Another spaceship is found that looks just like the Alisa III (in case you didn't know, the Alisa III is YOUR spaceship). The two ships start to attack each other, and the other ship is destroyed. Nial and Lune start to worry, and ask Aron to investigate the matter and to take Mieu and Wren with him. However, Kara isn't gonna sit back and watch, so she's forcing herself to come along with Aron. Now, you could do one of two things. You can either go into the Dahlia Dungeon to get what you need to, or find your 5th partner to help you out then return. I recommend leaving Dahlia first, as the experience in the Dungeon can help out the 5th member. Exit Dahlia via Shuttle back to Aerone. Aerone Dungeon: Just go south and head back to the town. Aerone: You may have noticed by now that Kara is pretty weak. Just keep her alive for now. To help with that, buy her a Steel Robe. Save and exit town. Elysium: You may have also noticed by now that you're now fighting not only monsters, but Cyborgs as well. Cyborgs usually take more effort to defeat, but Wren can take them down easily. Just be careful of the mixture of the two types of enemies. Go south from town to the Temple that takes you back to Frigidia. Frigidia: Go east a little bit (going around a few mountains if you have to) until you find another temple. Take this temple to Aridia. Aridia: Head towards Hazatak and take the Whirlpool just to the south of it to the Secret World. Secret World: Not much has changed here. But perhaps you can get Laya to help you again. Go to Laya's Temple to the west of the whirlpool. Laya's Temple: Just did what you did last time with Nial. Go to the Alter and Laya will appear. She says that after Nial decided to marry Alair, she came back to her temple and went back to sleep, leaving Nial her pendant. But, after 18 years of sleep, she wants to venture out again and is willing to go with Aron. Well, now you have Laya back, but the problem is... she's back to Level 1!!! Oh well, I guess 18 years of sleep will do that. The monsters outside will level her up more now, so no worries. Give Laya the Ceramic Bow and Force Crown that you had Wren carry. Head back to Aridia. Aridia: Take the Temple back to Frigidia. Frigidia: Take the Temple back to Elysium. Elysium: Head north to Aerone. Aerone: Rest and save. Buy Wren a Pulse Cannon if you don't already have one. Also, buy Laya a Force Bow. Enter the Hanger once you are set. Aerone Hanger: Take the Shuttle back to Dahlia. Dahlia: Now that you're back on Dahlia, you can continue with what you have to do. A few of the guards on board will say that there are Aero Parts for Wren in the dungeon. That is where you have to go next. Note: Now ends Aron's walkthrough. From this point of the game onward, all of the final characters take the exact same path with very few changes. Press Ctrl+F on Internet Explorer and type "i. Final Walkthrough" to access the rest of the walkthrough. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- d. Adan's Walkthrough. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Landen Castle: Nial marries Laya and thus brings peace after years of feuding and hatred between the Orakians and Layans. Laya gives birth to twins. A son named Adan and a daughter named Gwyn. 16 years after their birth, Gwyn starts having nightmares of falling down an endless hole of darkness. Not too long afterward, an earthquake shakes all of Landen. Nial and Laya ask Adan to find out what is going on and to take Mieu and Wren with him. Gwyn however won't let Adan go alone, and thus comes with him. Gwyn is a lot like Laya, but if you saved the Ceramic Bow and Force Crown that I told you to, give them to her. That will help you out a lot. Talk to Nial again and he will say to go ask Lune for help. Exit the castle and save in the town. Landen: Monsters are certainly getting harder now. Cyborgs will join the ranks of monsters and attack like crazy. Wren should be able to fend off Cyborgs rather easily. Just make sure you keep Gwyn's HP up, as she will level up rather quickly, much like her mother used to. Anyway, cross the bridge to Satera and head south. Since you have Laya's Pendant still, you don't need to enter the passage to Elysium, just use the Temple to go there. Elysium: You want to head to Divisia right now. Go south and enter it. Divisia: Not much to do here. The dungeon is empty of all monsters now, so you can enter the castle and make your way through very easily to the other side. Exit the town. Elysium: Head west and hug the trees around until you go west some more, then south. You should eventually find a temple near the river. Enter it and you'll be warped to the other side. Enter Aerone. Aerone: If Wren doesn't have a Pulse Cannon right now, buy him one. Also, get Gwyn a Force Bow and buy a Steel Robe for safe keeping. Enter the Hanger by going east along the road. Aerone Hanger: Just head up to the shuttle to Dahlia. Dahlia: You don't have to worry about monsters now, except within the dungeon. Talk to Lune and Alair. They will both recommend that Adan take Lune's daughter, Kara, with them. A few guards will say that there are some Aero Parts for Wren in the Dungeon. Give Kara the Steel Robe and once you're set, enter the Dungeon. Note: Now ends Adan's walkthrough. From this point of the game onward, all of the final characters take the exact same path with very few changes. Press Ctrl+F on Internet Explorer and type "i. Final Walkthrough" to access the rest of the walkthrough. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- e. Ayn's Walkthrough. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cille Castle: After Rhys and Maia get married, they have a son named Ayn. Shortly after Ayn turns 15, a messenger comes into the castle and tells King Rhys that Cyborgs have started attacking, killing all the monsters, and that King Lyle is asking for help. Rhys then tells Ayn of the legend of Satellite and tells Ayn to go find it with Mieu and Wren. Ayn can use techniques, unlike his father. Though Ayn is weaker than his old man and very young, use his techniques to your advantage. When you are ready, exit the castle. Cille: Just save here and then exit. Head south though the Land Bridge and into Shusoran. Shusoran: It seems that Lyle is now King of Shusoran, and he even has a daughter named Thea. Remember that Lyle is Ayn's 2nd cousin (since King Cille calls Lyle his nephew during Rhys' quest). You will notice that Lyle has lost one of his eyes during battle. He would join, but Shusoran needs him. Exit the castle and the town and head over to Agoe. Agoe: Hmmm, interesting. If you talk around, you'll learn that Agoe has NOT been attacked by the cyborgs. Could it be that Agoe is an Orakian town while Cille and Shusoran are Layan towns? Only one way to find out. Exit town and take the boat over to Rysel. Rysel: Talk to the man just above the Healer's Shop and he will tell Ayn that Cille and Shusoran are under attack and request that Ayn return there. Great, time to backtrack already. Exit town. Aquatica: By now, enemies should start attacking if they haven't already. Now you have to worry about Cyborgs, which are MUCH stronger than monsters and have a much higher defense. Wren will do the most damage against the Cyborgs if given the right weapon, but bladed weapons will do less damage then they would with monsters. Some people switch Ayn to Needlers right about now, but I don't. They are just too expensive to keep updating. Anyway, take the boat and enter Shusoran. Shusoran: Deserted. The whole town, including shop-keepers, are gone. Even the castle is empty. Exit through the north gate of the Castle and head back to Cille. Cille: Cille is deserted as well, all except for one man. This man will tell Ayn that everyone from Cille and Shusoran fled to Aridia. Well, at least you know where to go to. Exit Cille, go through Shusoran, and take the boat back to Rysel. Rysel: Just rest up here. Chances are you've been beaten a bit by the Cyborgs. Also, you can alter Ayn's Healing Techniques to favor Res. This will save you on Dimates. Exit Rysel. Aquatica: Remember how to get to Aridia? Go south from Rysel and east to the abandoned forts. South of the left-most one is the entrance to the passage. Aquatica-Aridia Passage: Treasures: Dimate x2, Antidote By now, you should know exactly how to navigate this passageway, so I won't even bother explaining it again. You probably already opened the chests from Rhys' quest, so don't worry about it. Just keep your HP up and survive the Cyborgs' attacks. Exit to Aridia. Aridia: If you've forgotten where the town of Hazatak is, hit yourself over the head. That is where you want to head right now. Hazatak: Rest up and save here. Trust me, you'll need it. Talk around town and the Cyborgs will say that Ayn's family has fled to the Western Cave. Exit town and head west back to the Western Cave. Western Cave: Treasures: Dimate, Escapipe, Dragon's Tear Again, you should have already gotten the treasures. Your goal here is to go to the same area in which Rhys found Wren. It's not that hard to find at all, as it is in the center of the cave. When you reach the center, Rhys, Maia, Lyle, and everyone else will be there. Well, almost everybody. Lyle will tell Ayn that Thea was kidnapped by the Cyborgs and taken to Draconia. Lyle will give Ayn the Dragon's Tear and asks Ayn to go rescue Thea. Exit the cave and head back to Hazatak. Hazatak: Rest up and buy some Dimates if you can. Exit town. Aridia: The Dragon's Tear will allow you to access the passageway to Draconia. The passageway shouldn't be too hard to find. Just head due east from Hazatak to the very east side of the dome. There will be a cave in which you can now enter. Aridia-Draconia Passage: Treasures: Force Ribbon, Laser Shot, Ceramic Helmet OK, now I can give you instructions again. Cyborgs will start to become a bit more powerful, and since you cannot get new weapons yet, you're really gonna have to use healing items and techniques. From the entrance, go up to the top, then right all the way. This will lead you to a chest with a Force Ribbon for Mieu. Head back to the entrance. This time, head down, then right, then up at the first path you see. Go right until you come across a chest with a Laser Shot. Finally, your prayers have been answered. Give it to Wren and be thankful as now he can do more damage. From the chest, go down to the bottom. Go right for the Ceramic Helmet for Ayn, then right all the way. Go up a bit at the end then right and up again to the exit. Draconia: Now you're not gonna want to waste any time or make any wrong turns. The monsters will get very tough for your current weapons right now. Just rely on Wren and head southeast until you see a bridge. Cross the bridge and enter the town of Lensol. Lensol: Well, you can get new weapons here, but I highly recommend waiting just a tad bit longer. Though you may buy yourself a Force Armor for Ayn, a Ceramic Vest for Mieu, and a Ceramic Protector for Wren. Some people in town will hint to a Princess being locked away inside the castle's dungeon. However, the castles are locked, and whoever built this town was an idiot not to put hidden entrances to the dungeon inside the fountains. So you're out of luck there. Exit town. Draconia: You will need to check your Monitor a bit now. Cross the bridge and head east. When you find yourself under the two large peninsulas in the middle of the dome, head north. Cross the bridge up there and continue north until you reach the town of Endora. Endora: Now you can finally upgrade your weapons. See, buy pushing yourself just a bit more, you can save some money and buy much better weapons. Buy Ayn a Laser Sword, Mieu two Laser Claws, and a Cannon for Wren. Get a Ceramic Gear for Wren. It may take you some more fighting in order to get enough money for the weapons, but trust me, it is well worth it. Rest and save. At the north part of town there will be a guy who tells Ayn that he tried to rescue the princess locked in Lensol's Castle, but there were too many Cyborgs for him to fight alone. However, the guy was smart enough to leave the gate to the castle open. Now is your chance! Exit town. Draconia: Head south past the bridge and then west back to Lensol. I betcha your shiny new weapons are making things a lot easier, aren't they? Lensol: Rest and save here. Go north to the Castle gate, which will now be open. Enter the castle. Lensol Castle: Enter the building part of the castle and go up. Before you enter the throne room, go right and then up. Go left at the top and follow to the stairs to the dungeon. Lensol Dungeon: Treasures: Trimate, Monomate, Antidote Don't bother with the treasures here, as chances are you'll be using more than that just trying to get to them with all the Cyborgs around. From the entrance, go down a bit, then right to the wall. Go up, then right to the wall again. Go down and right, but go up before you hit the wall. Follow up and left and soon you will reach the stairs back to the castle. Lensol Castle: Go south past the trees and then right near the bottom. This will take you to another set of stairs going back to the dungeon. Lensol Dungeon: Just go down and right all the way. You will see a prison at the end of it. Open the prison doors, then the next set and talk to Thea. She asks to be taken to her father and joins the party. Thea is weak for now, but she'll level at a good rate. Plus her slicers will make your work easier. Exit the dungeon and the castle. Enter Lensol again. Lensol: You'll want to rest up by now. Buy Thea 2 Ceramic Slicers and a Robe. Also, alter her techniques to favor Foi (Melee) and Res (Heal). 2 Ceramic Slicers will help your battles against these Cyborgs by making quick work of them. Also, put Ayn's Heal Techniques to favor GiRes. Exit town. Draconia: Head north a bit and then northwest back to the passage to Aridia. Aridia-Draconia Passage: Just go backwards from the way you came and enter Aridia. Aridia: Head to Hazatak and rest up, then head to the Western Cave. Western Cave: Might as well fulfill Thea's request. Just go back to the center of the cave and talk to Lyle. He will thank Ayn for rescuing Thea. Well, that's nice. Exit the cave. Aridia: Head north until you find another cave. This is the passageway back to Landen. Now, why are we going this way you ask? Well, if you tried to go to Landen from Aquatica, you'll notice that the passageway is blocked by orders of Lune. Though you won't know who Lune is until the final generation (or if you've already played Nial's quest). Anyway, now with the Twin's Ruby you can enter the passage to Landen. Landen-Aridia Passage: Treasures: Force Sword, Force Knife, Force Claw This passage is really quite simple to navigate. From the entrance, go up and then take the first left you come to. Eventually, you will come across a chest with a Force Sword. Grab it and give it to Ayn. Go left a bit then up and left some more. The chest here will contain a Force Knife. Just hang onto it for now, as it will come in handy real soon. Go back right and down, then left to the chest with a Force Claw for Mieu. Go down, left, and up to the exit. Landen: You should know the world of Landen pretty well. Just hug the lake and head north and west. You have to go to the town of Landen. Landen Town: Rest and save up here. The town is deserted, much like Cille and Shusoran were. Not to mention that the castle is locked. Hopefully your memory is good. Do you remember what building Rhys exited when Lena freed him from the dungeon? Well, even if you don't, it's the Technique Shop, so go there and take the stairs downstairs to the dungeon. Landen Dungeon: Treasures: Dimate x2, Trimate, Monomate Now you can explore the rest of the dungeon, since you never got to during Rhys' generation. Watch out though, as Cyborgs roam this dungeon freely. From the entrance, go up and then right. Go down when you can and then right. At the end, go up a bit, right, and then up again. Go right all the way and up a bit. Take the first path going left that you see. You will eventually see a woman standing there. Heal up and then talk to her. This is Sari, Queen of Landen and Satera and daughter of the now dead Lena. She has the Power Topez, and will only give it to Ayn if Ayn can defeat her. Boss: Sari, 3 Commsats, 3 Zarachnes HP: 210 HP 154 HP 130 HP Techs: N/A Poison Gra This battle really isn't all that hard. Sari sure hurts a lot, but that's typical for a boss. Have Wren attack Sari from behind while everybody else works on the front line. Once the front line is gone, attack Sari while Thea uses Foi. Have Ayn use GiRes when your HP runs low. Don't worry about Sari using techniques. Since she is an Orakian, she can only attack. Sari should very easily fall. Once Sari is defeated, she will give Ayn the Power Topez on ONE condition. That Sari go with Ayn. How can he refuse? Give Sari the Force Knife that you found. You may notice one thing about Sari... she is POWERFUL! She starts with 206 HP and a whole lot of strength. Even Wren will have a hard time reaching that high a power. One can only guess that she must have had one helluva strong father, as her mother was very weak. Sari will most likely kill anything in one shot. Anyway, exit the dungeon and you'll arrive in Landen Castle. Just exit the castle back to town and rest up. Exit back to Landen. Landen: You're almost finished. Head back to the passageway to Aridia and make your way back to Aridia. Aridia: Head to Hazatak and rest. Go to the passage to Draconia and make your way there. Draconia: Rest up in Lensol and make your way back to Endora. From there, head east a bit and then south onto the peninsula. At the end of the peninsula will be a dragon, who asks you to hope on it's back and it will take you to the other side. Once you land on the other side, the dragon will turn into... Lyle? That's right, Lyle's Dragon Knight ability allows him to transform into a dragon. He has been heavily damaged and is on the verge of dying. Before dying, he tells Ayn his dying secret; he was the one who kidnapped Maia on Rhys' wedding day. He tells Ayn to guard Thea and says his good-byes to his daughter, then dies. Go southwest a bit to the town of Techna. Techna: Now is the time to load everybody up with equipment. You should have plenty of money by now. Buy Ayn a Laconian Sword, Mieu a Force Vest, Wren a Pulse Vulcan, Thea a Steel Robe and Laconian Slicer, and Sari a Royal Chest and Laconian Knife. Buy some Dimates as well. Also, alter Ayn's Techniques to favor GiRes, Mieu's to favor Rever and Fanbi, and Thea's to favor Res. So now, your party should look like this: Ayn: Mieu: Wren: Ceramic Helmet Ceramic Ribbon Ceramic Gear Laconian Sword Force Claw Pulse Cannon Force Armor Laser Claw Ceramic Protector Force Boots Force Vest Thea: Sari: Laconian Slicer Laconian Knife Ceramic Slicer Force Knife Steel Robe Royal Chest Boots Boots Once you've gotten the items you need (trust me, with the Cyborgs where you are going, you WILL need the best equipment you can buy), head into the castle. Techna Castle: From the entrance to the castle, go right and follow the outer all up. Turn left and go down. You will soon see some stairs to the dungeon. Techna Dungeon: Treasures: Trimate From the entrance, go right (left takes you to a Trimate). Take the 2nd path going down you come to, then take the first left you come to. Just follow the path going left, up, left, and down. You will eventually come to an old man who asks for the Proof of Power (the Power Topez). He will then let you onto the Shuttle so that you can make your way to Satellite. Enter the shuttle. As you're flying to Satellite, a voice will talk in Ayn's head and tell him that the 7 worlds are nothing but one large spaceship. Yes, questions arise, but those questions will be answered later. You will soon arrive on Satellite, or it's official name, Azura. This is where the Cyborgs are all coming from. Azura: The cyborgs here will be by far the toughest you've ever faced. Use items for healing when you need to heal. From the Shuttle, head down all the way, then right. Go up the stairs, then keep going up to the next set and go up. Go right and down and go up the next set of stairs. Go right all the way and then up to the stairs leading to the dungeon. Azura Dungeon: Treasures: Force Boots, Force Bandanna The treasures here are not worth the effort to find. From the entrance, go down and once you see the 2nd path going right, take it. Follow all the way right, then up, then right again. Go down all the way then left and take the first path going down that you see. Go right and you will eventually run into someone who looks just like Wren. Heal first then talk to him. This is Siren, former commander of Orakio's Army who was sealed on Azura by Laya. After 1000 years have gone by, Siren's anger for Layans has arisen and therefore sent the waves of cyborgs to attack. He then attacks Ayn. Boss: Siren, 3 Flashes, 3 Mechs HP: 1300 HP 113 HP 370 HP Techs: Tsu GiRes Zan Siren is no dummy. He gives you the single hardest cyborg you can face right now, Mechs. Mechs are so strong that even Sari will have a hard time killing them. Focus your attacks on the front line, making sure Wren attacks the Mechs and everyone else focuses on the Flashes. Siren will use Tsu, which will do about 20+ HP damage to everyone. So with this in mind, keep everyone's HP around 40 at least. Siren's defense allows him to take a lot of damage, but Wren's Pulse Vulcan will ignore that defense totally. Have Thea use Foi and Res when needed, while Ayn use GiRes when needed, and have Mieu cast Fanbi on Wren and Sari. Keep up the attacks and after a long battle, Siren will eventually fall. This isn't the last you've seen of Siren. He'll get mad and say that the war is not over, and then will disappear. At least now the cyborg attack should stop a bit. Now Ayn has a choice at such a young age. He can either marry Sari and become King of Landen and Satera, or marry his 3rd cousin Thea and rule over Azura. Marry Sari and give birth to Crys. Marry Thea and give birth to Sean. Note: Press Ctrl+F on Internet Explorer and type "f. Crys' Walkthrough" for Crys, or "g. Sean's Walkthrough" for Sean. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- f. Crys' Walkthrough ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Landen Castle: Ayn marries Sari and they have a son named Crys. However, the fighting doesn't stop and there is no peace yet. Ayn and Sari together easily fight off any enemies though. After 20 years of this, a messenger comes to Ayn and says that Siren has returned and is planning to send the Alisa III (your ship) into the sun. This could be trouble. Ayn asks Crys to take Mieu and Wren and to find Siren before his plan is complete. Crys is very powerful (well, look at his mother), but he cannot use any healing techniques, so for now that leaves Mieu to do the healing. Exit the castle. Landen Town: Rest up in town and exit to Landen. Note: Now ends Crys' walkthrough. From here on until notified, Crys' and Sean's Walkthrough will be exactly similar. Press Ctrl+F on Internet Explorer and type "h. Semi-Final Walkthrough" to access the rest of the walkthrough. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- g. Sean's Walkthrough ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Azura: Well, Ayn married his cousin Thea and gave birth to Sean. They lived on Azura in peace until Sean reached manhood. One day, however, the Alisa III (your ship), starts to mysteriously fire at Azura and hits it. Azura starts to blow up. Ayn tells Sean to run with Mieu and Wren. Ayn says that he cannot bear to leave his home, so he and Thea decide to stay and be killed by the explosion. Wren drags Sean to the shuttle and barely escape with their lives. The shuttle is caught in the explosion though and crash lands on Aridia. Aridia: What a way for a hero to start his quest. He doesn't even know what to do. Well, head northwest to the passage to Landen. Might as well start from home. Landen-Aridia Passage: You should already know this quite well. Just exit to Landen. Landen: Hug the lake and head back to Landen Town. Landen Town: Rest and save here. Head into the castle. Landen Castle: Talk to Queen Sari here and she will mention that the war must end, and in order to do that, you have to find Laya's Treasure. This could be a long journey. Note: Now ends Sean' walkthrough. From here on until notified, Sean's and Crys' Walkthrough will be exactly similar. Press Ctrl+F on Internet Explorer and type "h. Semi-Final Walkthrough" to access the rest of the walkthrough. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- h. Semi-Final Walkthrough ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: From here on, instead of just giving the names of each of your main characters, whoever it may be, I'm just going to say "Your Orakian", unless specified. Also note that a lot of this walkthrough is just repeats of Nial's walkthrough, since he already went through these places. Landen: You may now notice that the bridge to Satera is complete. Well, you don't have to enter Satera, but cross the bridge and go south to the cave at the bottom of the dome. By now you'll notice a mix of both Cyborgs and monsters, both quite strong. Enter this passage. Landen-Elysium Passage: Treasures: Ceramic Ribbon, Laser Shot, Ceramic Shield Don't worry about these items too much. From the entrance, go all the way down to the bottom, then go left, then all the way up. Take the first path going left and just follow this path until you get to the stairs leading to Elysium. Elysium: From the exit of the cave, go southwest a little bit until you reach the town of Divisia. North Divisia: Divisia is a town that is divided by the castle in the middle. There isn't much to do right now, but rest up and head into the castle. Divisia Castle: There really isn't much to do in the castle either. The king will talk about the only living pilot remaining named Rulakir. Anyway, from the throne room go left to the stairs to the dungeon. Divisia Dungeon: Treasures: Trimate, Antidote The dungeon isn't really complicated, but the monsters can start to become a bit tricky by now. From the entrance, go up and right all the way to the end. Go down and left all the way and then up. Go left and down to the stairs back to the castle. Divisia Castle: Just exit the castle, shouldn't be that hard to do. South Divisia: The items here are not worth getting, just make sure to rest and save your game. Exit the town. Rebel's Cave: Treasures: Force Helmet, Hunting Bandanna, Ceramic Gear, Laser Claw, Laser Sword, Sub Parts Yet again, the treasures here won't be worth a whole lot (they were put here mainly for Nial's quest). Don't worry about getting them unless you wish to sidetrack and get them for money. From the entrance, go up to the wall, then right. When you come across a chest, it will contain a Hunting Bandanna. From there, go down to the bottom and then left. You will now be in a big room. At the left side are 3 chests, containing a Laser Sword, a Laser Claw, and the Sub Parts for Wren. The weapons can be sold, but you need the Sub Parts in order to continue. Exit the cave. Elysium: Make your way back to Divisia. South Divisia: Rest and save. Make your way back through the dungeon back to North Divisia. North Divisia: Rest if you need to, then exit the town and head back to the passage. Landen-Elysium Passage: Just make your way back to Landen. Shouldn't be too hard. Landen: Head back to Landen Town and rest if you need to. Head back to the passage to Aridia. Landen-Aridia Passage: Make your way back to Aridia. Aridia: Go to Hazatak. She wants to know what happened, and therefore asks Your Orakian to take her with him. Laya joins the party. Laya is extremely weak for this point of the game, but if you can keep her alive, she'll gain levels like nothing. She also carries the Mystery Star, which will help you get to the next dome. Exit the temple and head back to Aridia. Aridia: Take some time to Level Laya up... like a LOT. Just keep doing this until she is at a point where she doesn't gain a level every fight or two. Also would be a good time to alter Laya's Techniques to favor GiRes. If you have Sean, alter his healing techniques to favor Res. Once you are ready, from Hazatak, go southwest until you reach a cave. Enter this passageway. Aridia-Frigidia Passage: Treasures: Ceramic Crown, Ceramic Bow, Force Staff, Laser Knife There are a few items you may want to grab in this passage. Go left a bit and down all the way to get a Ceramic Crown for Laya. Go back to the entrance and then go left. You should come across a chest containing a Ceramic Bow, which can be given to Laya. Go left a bit then down. Continue going down and then left to the exit to Frigidia. Frigidia: The snow is quite normal, that is why it is called Frigidia, so don't worry about having to fix it. Before you do go into Mystoke Castle, look to see if you can buy some equipment here. Buy Laya a Laser Bow. Also, if you have the money, buy a Royal Vest of Mieu. If you don't have the money, don't worry about it. It's not a big deal right at this moment. If you have the money now, buy Mieu a Royal Vest, else again, don't worry about it. If you already have a Royal Vest, try to buy Your Orakian a Planar Armor. Again, it's not a big deal right now. Exit town. Aerone: Buy Laya a Force Bow. Other than that, just ignore the items here. Rest up. The people will talk about walking east along the road. Do that. From the road at the lower end of town, walk right until you find the mysterious stairway to the hanger. Aerone Hanger: Treasures: Monomate Just head up to the top where the chest is, then left to the shuttle. This will take you to the 2nd Satellite, Dahlia. Dahlia: There are no monsters on this part. This is the home of Lune. If you talk to him, he will feel guilty over attacking Satera in the past and will be depressed over it. His sister Alair will say that Lune made his mistakes, but is not behind the recent attack of monsters and cyborgs. Talk to Lune's daughter, Kara. She will be upset at Lune and demand that he hand over his Slicer. Kara will then join your party. A few guards will say that there are Aero Parts for Wren in the dungeon, so time to go in and get them. Enter the dungeon. Note: Now ends the Semi-Final Walkthough. From this point forward, all of the 4 final characters' walkthroughs are the same with very few differences. Press Ctrl+F on Internet Explorer and type "i. Final Walkthrough" to access the rest of the walkthrough. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- i. Final Walkthrough ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: From here on, instead of just giving the names of each of your main characters, whoever it may be, I'm just going to say "Your Orakian", unless specified. Also, instead of saying either Laya or Gwyn, they will be called "Your Layan". Kara will be Kara no matter which version of her you have. So just keep this in mind: Your Orakian = Sean, Crys, Adan, Aron Your Layan = Laya, Gwyn Dahlia Dungeon: Treasures: Force Gear, Force Crown, Laconian Gear, Laconian Bandanna, Laconian Crown, Aero Parts If you're playing from Nial's Quest, then the Force Crown and Force Gear should already be gotten. Else grab them and give then to Wren and your Layan. From the entrance, go left a bit, then down to the bottom. Go left a bit then up. After you passed your 2nd set of broken flooring to your left, go left and up. Now head right all the way until you come across a chest. This will contain a Laconian Gear. Give it to Wren. Just below that chest is a chest with a Laconian Bandanna. Give it to Kara. From that chest, go right until you reach the broken floor, then go down, taking the 2nd right path you come to. Go right to the wall then down all the way. Go left and you'll come across a chest with a Laconian Crown. Give it to your Layan. Keep going left to the end of the path, then go up then right. Follow and you will get to a chest with the Aero Parts. Once you have the Aero Parts, there is no need to be here anymore. Dahlia: Just head to the shuttle back to Aerone and make it back to town. Aerone: Rest up and save in town. Now that you have the Aero Parts, you can use the jetports you see around every once in a while. Exit town. Elysium: You're completely finished with this world. There is a jetport near the town, but you don't need to use it yet. Head south past the bridge and take the Temple back to Frigidia. Frigidia: Go west a bit then south. Within the mountain ranges, there should be a jetport there. Walk over it and Wren will turn into an Aero Jet. This is the easiest way to travel the worlds, and the only way to get to the town of New Mota. There is an island in the middle of the lake on the west side of the dome. Fly there and land at the Jetport and enter the town of New Mota. New Mota: There are a couple things to do here. The absolute best weaponry that money can buy is here. However, you'll soon be able to get even better weaponry. The only weapon I recommend getting right now is a Planar Slicer for Kara. And also don't bother with the armor here, as you can get better armor in Mystoke. The real reason you're here though is to talk to the elders here. In the middle of town they will tell you all the origin of the Alisa III. Pay attention to them, because if you follow the other Phantasy Star games, this will tell you exactly how Phantasy Star III connects with the rest of the series. All I'll tell you is that the Alisa III is one of 400 spaceship to escape from the destruction of Palma. However, only 2 spaceships remain, due to the fact that Dark Force destroyed them all until Orakio and Laya sealed Dark Force by the Sword of Orakio on board the Alisa III. The other ship is the Neo Palm. Now that you know the truth (whether you wanted to or not), exit New Mota. Frigidia: Enter the jetport and then fly over by Mystoke. Just north of Mystoke, floating above the icy waters is the castle of Skyhaven. Enter it. Skyhaven: Skyhaven is rather small and has no monsters, so you can take your time and explore if you wish to. Near the end of the castle is the Council of Skyhaven. These men will tell you that a word of great power was lost for generations, but the Sages on Sage Isle on Aquatica (they'll say Draconia, but it's an error because it talks about Old Cille and Shusoran) might be able to remember the word if they are brought the 5 Weapons of Legend; Orakio's Sword, Miun's Claw, Siren's Shot, Laya's Bow, and Lune's Slicer. You already have two of those items, so now you have to find the other 3. One of the Councilmen say that the dungeon has the Aqua Parts for Wren. Go a bit further in Skyhaven and go down the stairs to the dungeon. Skyhaven Dungeon: Treasures: Star Mist, Moon Dew, Laconian Ribbon, Royal Crown, Hunting Bow, Aqua Parts This is the one dungeon I absolutely hate. Mainly because of it's simple, yet frustrating design. Not only that, the enemies here will hurt pretty badly, especially with the armor you have right now. Don't worry though, it's nothing you can't handle. The treasures are worth getting here (aside from the Hunting Bow). From the entrance, go right to the wall, then down and left. Just keep going in the only directions you can go until you come to a path that takes you either up or down. Go down to the bottom, then just keep going left and down when you can. At the end will be a chest with a Star Mist. Give that to Wren. Now backtrack right a bit. When you come to a fork that takes you up or down, go up then go left. Continue until you can go left no more, then go down to get a couple of chests with a Laconian Ribbon and a Moon Dew. Give the Laconian Ribbon to Mieu and the Moon Dew to Wren. Now head back right until you see the chest that had the Star Mist (it should be close to a piece of broken floor). From the broken floor piece, go up all the way until you can go up no more, then left. When you come to a fork that doesn't have a broken floor below you, go up to get the Royal Crown, then go down to get a Hunting Bow and the Aqua Parts. Now that you have them, exit this dungeon and Skyhaven all together. Frigidia: Fly to Mystoke. Mystoke: Now is a chance to buy some of the armor. Buy the most expensive stuff first, though I doubt you'll have enough money for all 5 pieces of armor. The Royal Fiblira or the Royal Robe should come first though. Exit Mystoke once you've spent your money. Frigidia: Head to the jetport near the Temple to Elysium. Land there and take the temple back to Elysium. Elysium: Go north to Aerone and rest there. Near the town is a jetport. Enter it and fly to the northeast side of the dome (on the north side of Divisia). Land at the jetport and take the temple close by to Landen. Landen: Hug the lake and walk north along it until you find the ship docks. Walk onto it and Wren will transform into an Aqua Skimmer with the help of the Aqua Parts. Now, sail over towards Yaata and just south of it is a Temple sunken underground. Go to it and Wren will transform into a Submersible and enter the Temple. Sunken Temple: No monsters, so don't worry. Make your way to the back of the temple to enter it, then make your way to the right room where there is a sword sticking out of the ground. Go to it and Your Orakian will take it out of the ground and learn Megido. This is Orakio's Sword, and by pulling it, you've released Dark Force unto the world. Exit the Sunken Temple. Landen: sail back to the ship docks and make your way over to the temple near the passage to Aridia. Take the temple to Aridia. Aridia: You may have seen this person before, but just north of Hazatak is a cyborg that looks like Mieu wandering around looking for Orakio and his black blade. This is Miun. Find her and talk to her. Now that you have Orakio's Sword, she will mistake Your Orakian for Orakio. As you can see, she has been badly damaged and has been wandering this desert for 1000 years. Before she can say much, she will collapse and die, leaving you with Miun's Claw. Give it to Mieu. Now that you have the 4th Weapon of Legend, all the remains is Siren's Shot. Take the temple over to Aquatica. Aquatica: Go over to Agoe and rest up. Use the ship docks nearby and sail east over to Sage Isle. Land there and enter Sage Isle. Sage Isle: Treasures: Royal Sword, Royal Emel, Royal Shield, Vulcan, Siren's Shot This cave is pretty simple, but the monsters can be a pain. From the entrance, go up to the top, then take a right all the way. From there, go down and grab the two chests containing a Vulcan and Royal Emel. Continue downwards and at the bottom, go right. Siren will be waiting there. Talk to him and he will say that he is sorry for the trouble he has caused and that he was wrong to hate the Layans. With those dying words, he collapses and leaves you with Siren's Shot. Give it to Wren. Now you have the 5 Weapons. Go left and grab the Royal Sword. Now head to the top and go all the way to the left. There will be a chest with a Royal Shield (I had you grab all these items because it will give you a LOT of money). From that chest, go back right and take the 2nd path going down that you come to. Go down and you will meet with the Sages of Sage Isle. Talk to them and they will remember the word of power, which is Nei. Once you learn this word, they will teach Mieu the Grantz Technique. Now you are ready to rid the worlds of evil. Well, you're close anyway. Exit Sage Isle. Aquatica: Go to Rysel. Rysel: Rest up. Buy Mieu, Your Layan, and Kara each some Force Boots. Exit and take the Temple back to Aridia. Aridia: Take the Temple to Frigidia. Frigidia: Go west a bit and find the jetport near the Temple to Elysium. Ride Wren's Aero Jet back to Skyhaven. Skyhaven: Make your way back to the Council of Skyhaven and talk to each of them. By doing so, they will remember the word "Nei" and power each of the weapons up to their strongest power, each becoming the Nei Weapons. Make sure you re-equip everyone with their weapons. Exit Skyhaven now. Frigidia: Fly to New Mota. New Mota: Buy Mieu a Planar Claw to go along with her Nei Claw. Exit. Frigidia: Fly to Mystoke. Mystoke: Sell any unwanted weapons and armor here that you may have collected. Take and make sure that you have a Planar Armor for your Orakian, a Royal Vest for Mieu, a Royal Protector for Wren, a Royal Robe for Kara, and a Royal Fiblira for your Layan. If you don't have the money, fight around until you do. It is highly recommended that you do. Now for Technique Altering. Alter Your Orakian's Heal Techniques (except for Cyrs) to favor Res. Mieu's Techniques should favor Rever and Fanbi. Your Layan's Techniques should favor GiRes and Fanbi. Now, if you have Aron or Adan's version of Kara, favor her techniques to favor GiRes, and if you have Sean or Crys' version of Kara, don't bother. Also don't bother altering Wren's Techniques. Also, load everybody completely up with Trimates. Your party should have this equipment: Orakian: Mieu: Wren: Laconian Helmet Laconian Ribbon Laconian Gear Nei Sword Nei Claw Nei Shot Planar Armor Planar Claw Royal Protector Royal Boots Royal Vest Force Boots Layan: Kara: Royal Crown Laconian Bandanna Nei Bow Nei Slicer Royal Fiblira Planar Slicer Force Boots Royal Robe Force Boots Now that you have everything in order, rest up and save. Exit Mystoke. Frigidia: Turn into an Aero Jet and fly east from Mystoke. In between a set of mountains at the eastern side of this dome is a jetport. Land there and go around the mountains to the south. On the east side is a Temple that will take you to your final destination, the world of Terminus. Terminus: Terminus is pure evil. There are no towns here, and the monsters are extremely tough. Near the temple should be a jetport. Use that and fly over to the lake on the east side of the dome. There will be another floating city waiting for you there. This is the city of Lashute. Lashute: This is it. The final zone. This place is very much like Skyhaven, only much larger and full of extremely deadly monsters. The people here will say that Your Orakian's Father and Grandfather did exactly what they wanted to in order to help spread evil. You want to get though this place as quickly as possible. From the entrance, go up the stairs, then left. Go up the next set and go right. Go up those stairs and then left a bit, then up those. Go left again and down the next set. Left again, then down once more. Go left one more time, then go up the stairs this time. At the top will be a snow room to the left. Enter it and go left, weaving around the trees. Just continue along the path and going down and up a couple long flights of stairs. At the end will be a man standing at the door. This is Rulakir, the twin brother of Orakio and last remaining pilot of the Alisa III. Rulakir's hatred has kept him alive for over 1000 years. He will then attack. Boss: Rulakir, 3 Murafires, 3 Azufires HP: 1500 HP 120 HP 120 HP Techs: Tsu Foi Foi Beware if Rulakir uses Tsu, as it will do around or over 60 HP damage to each of your party members. If this happens, have your Layan use GiRes to keep your HP up. Have Wren and Laya focus on Rulakir during the first round while Mieu uses Fanbi on Your Orakian. Kara and Your Orakian should wipe out the Fires in front easily. Once Rulakir is open for attack, let loose on him everything you have. Keep using GiRes when needed and Rulakir will soon fall. After Rulakir's defeat, he will thank you for freeing his spirit from Dark Force, and then will join his brother in death. If you suffered lots of damage, I recommend going back to Mystoke and resting up, but if you think you can go on, and you have plenty of Trimates and TP left, then go onto the Lashute Dungeon. Lashute Dungeon: Treasures: Laconian Shield, Laconian Emel, Laconian Helmet, Star Mist, Moon Dew, Royal Gear Don't worry about trying to pick up these treasures. You're gonna need every ounce of strength. Use Trimates to heal when needed, but make sure not to use up every one that each person has. The monsters in here are the toughest in the entire game, so keep that in mind. From the stairs, go down and take the 2nd path going right from the bottom. Go right and take the first path going upwards you come to all the way to the end. Continue right and go up at the end. Go right yet again and take the 2nd path going down. Go right again, then all the way down to the bottom. To the right will be a couple of chests, containing a Royal Gear and a Moon Dew. Give them both to Wren. Go up just a bit more and then over to your right. There will be a lone chest sitting there. Heal up before opening it, and prepare yourself. Boss: Dark Force, Left Hand, Right Hand HP: 8000 HP 300 HP 700 HP Techs: Tsu GiRes Foi Finally, you are face to face with the master of darkness, Dark Force! The evil being that haunts the universe every 1000 years. However, this is most likely the easiest Dark Force you will ever face in any Phantasy Star game... though he's not too easy. The first thing you want to do is focus your fire on the Left Hand (which is on the right side of the screen). Wren might be able to kill it in one shot. Have Mieu use Fanbi on Your Orakian while Your Orakian, Wren, Your Layan, and Kara take care of the hands. If you let the Left Hand live, it will cast GiRes and restore 300 HP to every part of Dark Force, so make sure you kill it quick, then focus on the Right Hand. Dark Force's body will use Tsu, which will do a massive amount of damage. Have Your Layan ready to use GiRes when this happens (or Kara too if she can heal). Should anyone die, have Mieu use Rever, or if she dies, have Wren use a Moon Dew. If HP gets below 70 for everyone, have Wren use the Star Mist that he has. With Fanbi on your Orakian, he should be able to do massive damage somewhere above 600 HP. Just keep up the HP and the attacks and Dark Force should fall. After he is defeated, he will say a little something then threaten to return in 1000 years. Now that you've defeated the game, watch the ending scenes for your character. Congratulations! You've defeated Phantasy Star III and have managed to survive this very long walkthrough! I hope you enjoyed things. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IV. Enemies ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: In the 2nd Generation, Monsters only appear during Nial's Quest, while Cyborgs only appear in Ayn's Quest. ** Means that the EXP/Meseta isn't calculated because the enemy always shows up with the same other enemy. If anyone knows the EXP/Meseta for these enemies, please let me know and you will get credit. xx Is Lyle's HP Variable. This basically means that whatever Lyle has for HP when he leaves your party will be the amount of HP he has in the fight. Techniques ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Technique Lesson: The Technique System in PSIII is one of the few things that turn people away from this game. I don't see why. The system is unique, yet simple, and can become a major turning point in the entire game. But, you have to know how to use it first. The way Techniques grow stronger is through Technique Distribution. Every town has one of these shops and you can pay the Shop Keeper 10 Meseta to alter your techniques. When you pay up and select a technique type, you will come up to a screen that has a bunch of colored jewels that look similar to this: oooohhh o.Res o h h.GiRes o h *.Anti o + h x.Rever * x * x ****xxx Yeah, I know. It looks bad as ASCII text, but you get the picture. And it doesn't look exactly like this... but I hope you see what I'm saying. Anyway, each jewel represents the power of one technique. The cross in the middle represents the place of where your cursor can go. Remember that in altering techniques, you cannot power up one technique without severely weakening another. Say for example you want to soup up the GiRes Technique to full power. Then your altering would look something like this: ohhhhhh o.Res o h h.GiRes o h *.Anti o h x.Rever o h o+ h *xxxxxx Here as you can see the number of jewels representing Anti has been reduced to 1. This means that Anti will not be a very effective technique, but GiRes will restore a LOT of HP. And because of the system, each Technique will cost the same amount of TP. So regardless of whether your GiRes is very weak, or is powered up, it still costs the same. Use that to your advantage. And remember to keep in mind that the more jewels a technique has, the more powerful it is. That's all there is to it. Pick on technique and specialize in it if you want the most effective character. Tips ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Order Techniques: Order Techniques are not widely used by a lot of people who play Phantasy Star III, but Order Techniques should not be overlooked. Fanbi at a high level can almost double your attack power, while Shu at a high level can save the lives of someone like Lena, Thea, Laya, Gwyn, or Kara by raising their defenses. A lot of people miss out on these Techniques. Needlers: To me, Needlers are quite useless. I never use these weapons on my main character. However, they can come in handy if given to Lena. Reason being is that her attack is so weak anyway, that you might as well try to do some damage in the back row with the Needler. True they cost more, and some people still stick Lena with a Steel Knife at the end of the 1st Generation, but Needlers with her are still handy. Not only do they ignore defenses, but the range is good. Besides, 2 Steel Knives vs. 2 Ceramic Needlers is close to each other in attack power, and cost almost the same. Helmets: Don't waste too much effort getting Helmets for your main characters. It can be a pain in the neck to get money to update equipment fully, but by missing out on the weak helmets, you'll save a bit of money. The defense difference between two different helmets is not enough to make a big difference. The only other equipment that you'll encounter to have a problem like this will be Bandannas. Just don't worry if you can't upgrade. Upgrade helmets every 2 upgrades if you can. Shields & Emels: Shields in the game are utterly useless. Perhaps that is why they are so cheap compared to Emels. Normally, I don't use Emels either, but if you find that your female characters are dying too fast, you may want to pick one up. Though if they die too fast for me, I usually boost their defense with Shu. Boots: I don't know why anybody wants to really upgrade their footwear unless you want the best possible equipment money can buy. Just keep a pair of boots on them as the difference between boots really doesn't make a difference. Force boots are probably as high as you'll want to go as they offer a Speed Bonus. Aron's Quest with 4 Members: If you play through Nial's Quest and marry Alair, there is a way where you can play his quest entirely without going back to get Laya. The way to do it is simple, and it can offer you an interesting challenge. First, during Nial's Quest, when you give a stronger bow to Laya, give Laya's Bow to either Mieu or Wren. Then during Aron's quest, you will have Laya's Bow without having Laya. Now all the remains are the other 4 weapons (well, 3 since Kara will come with Lune's Slicer). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- X.
