Introduction ==================== Many people have loved the game Final Fantasy II/IV for many years. It was one of the first RPGs made for the Super Nintendo system, and was recently re- released in its Japanese form in the game "Final Fantasy Chronicles." This Shop/Inn FAQ will not work with this game, but rather the American Cousin Final Fantasy II (2). Good luck with your game progress. Note: If you wish to use my FAQ for any reason, or any part of it, please contact me at the above mentioned E-mail address. As noted at the end of my FAQ, this product is copyrighted, and can be only reproduced with my permission. Thank you for taking the time to ask before using, and may you find the FAQ useful. ==================== 2. News & Notes ==================== Below I will list the prices and items sold in each inn, weapon shop, item shop and armor shop in the Final Fantasy II world. Prices will, for each item, be the same in each shop you enter. The shops are listed in their location along the game's progress, and therefore, the more powerful weapons and armor will be found in the shops near the end of the list. I also wish to point out that prices do relay, in some form, the worth of an item/weapon/armor versus another. That which costs 150 GP will not be as strong as the which costs 3000 GP. This is true throughout the game. I hope this FAQ will help you in your game progress, and will aid you whenever possible. ==================== 3. Inn/Shop List Key - These are a few terms I think you will need to know to understand my FAQ. ==================== GP - stands for "Gold Pieces". It is the money you get from selling items or winning a battle. Head - This will be equipped in the "Head" position. It cannot be equipped anywhere else. Body - This will be equipped in the "Body" position. It cannot be equipped anywhere else. Hand - This will be equipped in the "Hand" position. It cannot be equipped anywhere else Thrown - This item can only be used by Edge, using his throwing command. Also, on a side note, you can recognize a Weapon Shop by the Sword on its sign, an Armory by the Shield on its sign, an Item shop by a Pot on its sign, and an Inn by the words "INN" being printed on its sign. A sign is always found above a doorway. If a sign signifying an Item Shop is not found in a town, it can almost always be located in the Inn. Otherwise, there is no Item Shop in the town. ===================== 4. Inn/Shop Guide ===================== ****************** A. Baron - This city is your first stop on your quest. Dwarf Castle - The Weapon and Item shop will not be accessible until you speak with King Giott and finish the events that follow. Adamant Metal Smith - If you take the Rat Tail from the Land of the Summoned Monsters to the "tiny man" who collects tails (he is near Silvera - you need to use your hovercraft), he will give you the Adamant Ore. Travel from there to the Underworld, and go to a strip of land directly south of the Dwarf Castle. There, you will find a house. Give the owner your ore and the Legend Sword you own. He will temper the sword to something strong, and will, when finished, have his disciples reopen his store! You can buy the follow items. Item Shop: Shuriken (Thrown) - 20,000 GP Ninja (Thrown) - 50,000 GP Samurai Arrows - 140 GP each ****************** L. Land of Summoned Monsters - By traveling through the caves in the island in the underground (it is in the middle of the western "lava ocean"), you find yourself in the Land of Summoned Monsters. Here you will find the Inn hidden inside the Item Shop. Inn: 1200 GP a night (I would suggest purchasing a cabin instead. They are cheaper, and you can find a save point in the house to the left of the Inn/Item Shop. Cabins restore full health and magic points, like an inn) Item Shop: Life - 150 GP Cure 1 - 30 GP Cure 2 - 150 GP Tent - 200 GP Cabin - 1000 GP Carrot - 50 GP Heal - 100 GP Ether 1 - 10,000 GP Weapon Shop: Whip - 3,000 GP Chain Whip - 6,000 GP Blitz Whip - 10,000 GP Charm Rod - 5,000 GP Lunar Staff - 7,000 GP Charm Arrows - 110 GP each Armor Shop: Aegis Shield - 20,000 GP Sorcerer (Body) - 30,000 GP ****************** M. Eblan - This town is found past the Eblan cave. It is on your quest's path, and you cannot miss the shops (but know that none of the shops have signs over the doors, but rather inside the shops, over their booths). Inn: 700 GP a night Item Shop: Life - 150 GP Cure 1 - 30 GP Cure 2 - 150 GP Tent - 200 GP Cabin - 1,000 GP Carrot - 50 GP Heal - 100 GP Ether 1 - 10,000 GP Weapon Shop: Power Staff - 2,000 GP Ice Brand (Sword) - 26,000 GP Blizzard Spear - 21,000 GP Short (Sword) - 4,000 GP Boomerang - 3,000 GP Archer - 3,000 GP Poison Arrows - 70 GP each Armor Shop: Ice Shield - 10,000 GP Ice (Body) - 35,000 GP Black Mage (Body) - 10,000 GP ****************** N. Humingway Cave - This is a hidden store. You will find it on the South part of the moon. Inside you will find about 20 Humingways (they are the relatives of Namingway, the men who will help you change your name on the Blue Planet). Search on the right side, until an Item Shop screen opens instead of dialogue. The Humingway will be selling the following: Item Shop: Cure 2 - 150 GP Life - 150 GP Ether 1 - 10,000 GP Ether 2 - 50,000 GP Elixir - 100,000 GP Cabin - 1,000 GP Whistle - 20,000 GP This ends the list of Inns and Shops. All items are not for sale, however, and most powerful weapons and armor will be found in treasure boxes. Keep that in mind when playing. ==================== 5.
