------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ****Mortal Kombat: Armageddon Konquest Relics FAQ**** ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- Version History ---------------- 1.00 - Guide started. 1.10 - Updated the locations of Shao Khan's Helmet and Sareena's Sash. Added the FAQ section. Also Fixed a few minor errors here and there. 1.20 - Added some questions to the FAQ section and changed a couple of minor mistakes. 1.30 - Due to some requests, I added the section on the elder god's armor. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I. Introduction ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I wrote this FAQ because I know from experience how frustrating it is trying to find all of those relics in Konquest mode. I have yet to hear anyone say that they got all 60 in the first time through, (and I am no exception.) This is also my first attempt at writing a FAQ, so bear with me. Most of these you will find just laying around, but sometimes they're in places that you might overlook, and some of them are much, much better hidden. Is the reward worth the effort? Absolutely. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- II. Relics ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------- a. Botan Jungle ----------------- 1. Kobra's Glove - In plain sight on the path right after the first log blocking your path before your fight with Kobra. You can't miss this one. 2. Kira's Knife - Before the bridge where you fight Kobra there is a broken tree stump on the left. Break it to get this. 3. Kai's Wristbands - After entering the cave (after the Kobra fight but before the monolith), go forward and look to the right. You should see it sitting there. 4. Cage's Picture - Right before the third booby trap that spits throwing stars at you. First pick up the magnifying glass before the first trap and it will show you where it is, and as you get near it, it will appear out of thin air. Yay! 5. Jarek's Vest - In the area where you fight the first bunch of Black Dragon thugs. After you kick the snot out of them the all of the doors will open. The vest is in the small room to the far right if you're looking toward the objective marker. 6. Kabal's Mask - In the area with the second bunch of Black Dragons, right before you fight Kabal on the left side of the area in plain sight. NOTE: Make sure you get this one while still fighting the Black Dragons, because if you don't you can't come back. ------------------- b. Temple of Argus ------------------- 7. Dairou's Keys - In the first room, hug the left wall, and when the room widens a little further down you should see them in the corner. 8. Hotaru's Flag - Same room as above. Look to the right of the door before you go out. Won't appear unless you're close to it. (Thanks to XavierKnight4d and HotGamer90 for this one.) 9. Stryker's Radio - In the room with the balcony death trap where you fight a bunch o' red guys. It is in the bottom right corner of the room, next to the chest. 10. Moloch's Ball (um... yuck.) - Same room as above on the opposite side of the room. 11. Hsu Hao's Watch - In the following hallway with the falling spike booby traps. In plain sight after the last one. ------------------- c. Tekunin Warship ------------------- NOTE: Be fast here. I've never seen 30 shorter minutes as long as I've lived. 12. Cyrax's Bomb - After the level starts take the path on the left and you should see it sitting there. 13. Kung Lao's Hat - In the room with all the bodies. Search the body on the right as soon as you enter the room. 14. Nightwolf's Axe - In the room with the fan death trap. Near the door opposite the exit. This one doesn't appear until you get close to it. 15. Sektor's Rocket - In the room where you first get your fireball attack. Near the inactive control panel on the right of the exit. 16. Jade's Bracelet - In the room where you fight a bunch of Tekunin with a sword. Sitting right next to the rail in plain sight. 17. Sonya's I.D. - In the final hallway before the Sektor fight. Kill one of the enemies here and he will drop this. ------------ d. Arctika ------------ 18. Baraka's Blade - Very beginning of the area on the left. 19. Blaze's Essence - In the area where you rescue the old man look to the right and you will see a fire pit, but no fire burning. Fix that by throwing a fireball at it and it will spit out this item. (Thanks to XavierKnight4d and HotGamer90 for this one.) 20. Havik's Mask - In the area with the crushing traps. After passing through the first one, go left and you should see it there. (Thanks to XavierKnight4d and HotGamer90 for this one too.) 21. Ermac's Gem - The area with the big door after the crushing traps. After fighting off all of the enemies this item will show up behind the fire. 22. Jax's Beret - After passing through the stone hallway (Where you fought off the enemies with the sword) you'll be in an area with a bunch of weird, spinning blade booby traps. At the beginning of this area look to the right and you'll see a section of the wall covered with snow. Break the snow to find a hat. Cool. 23. Darrius' Shades - Shortly after the above area you should see a magnifying glass sitting on the ground. Grab it and it will show you this item. It's in the area where you fight Wu Lae (The black Tengu) and his little punks, behind the fire. 24. Rain's Mask - Another area with spinning spike booby traps after the first area with Lin Kuei archers. You'll see a magnifying glass on the ground, so pick it up and it will direct you to the pile of snow on the left wall near the end of this area, so go break it and claim this. 25. Ashra's Doll (Aw, so cute with the little needle sticking out.) - In the following area with, yet more of the spinning blade booby traps, and more archers behind yet another pile of snow at the far left end. 26. Kano's Mask - In the final area of this level with archers and catapults shooting at you. As you enter, make a right. It will be in a small alcove in the bottom right corner, but it won't appear until you get close to it. (Thanks to XavierKnight4d and HotGamer90 for this one as well.) ------------------- e. Lin Kuei Palace ------------------- 27. Shang's Stone - In the first hallway after the very first room. Break the pot in the corner to find it. 28. Frost's Mask - The room after the giant ice wall that you have to break. You'll see a magnifying glass on the ground. Grab it and it will point you to the Sarcophagus on the opposite side of the room. Go there, fight Frost and then after beating the snot out of her look behind the Sarcophagus. 29. Sub-Zero's Amulet - After fighting Sub-Zero, look at the coins on the ground. They form an arrow to the statue at the end. Shoot a fireball at the statue to get the medallion. (Thanks to HotGamer90 for this one.) 30. Kitana's Fan - In the hall right after fighting Sub-Zero in plain sight. 31. Liu Kang's Armband - In the room where you fight your first group of shadow ninjas search the body on the left side of the room (if you're looking from the entrance) three times to find this. (Thanks to HotGamer90 for this one too.) 32. Onaga's Helmet - In the hallway after you fight your first bunch shadow ninjas You'll see some cracks in the wall. Break the first one on the left and carefully make your way through this long hall with the face spitting fireballs at you and you'll find this at the end of the hall on the left. 33. Noob's Stars - Another hallway like above. This time break the one on the far end of the hall on the left. Make your way through the hallway and at the end on the right there are a bunch of pots. One of them contains this one. 34. Smoke's Mask - In the hall right after fighting Smoke. Couldn't miss this one if you wanted to. ------------------ f. Krimson Forest ------------------ 35. Mavado's Hooks - Continue through the caves until you come to a room with a bunch of computers and red barrels. On the left side of the room is the lever that opens the A1 door. Elder god's Armor ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Due to a couple of requests, I decided to include this section on where to find the elder god's armor, since it can't be unlocked by any other means that I'm aware of. While a lot of these are in plain sight and hard to pass up, there are a few that you might not see and walk right past. Like the relics list they are listed in the order you will come to them in the game ----------------- a. Botan Jungle ----------------- 1. Male Armor: Glove - Right before reaching Kobra at the bridge, look to your right and you should see the chest in a small alcove. ------------------- b. Tekunin Warship ------------------- 2. Female Armor: Cape - After fighting Sonya, look on the left side of the same area to find this chest. 4. After killing the enemies here the gates will open. Take the smaller one on the right and you will see the chest inside. 5. Male Armor: Torso - After killing Wu Lae (Black Tengu) and his little gang from Thug's 'R Us, you'll come to an area with a lot of spinning blade booby traps. Lin Kuei Temple ------------------- 6. Female Armor: Boots - After fighting your first group of shadow ninjas, you will come to a hallway with 4 weakened spots. Break the first wall on the left, and carefully make your way to the end of the hallway, avoiding the fireballs and at the end of the hall on the right will be your armor. 7. Trouble is it's behind a gate and theres no way to open it. The chest will sit there for all eternity never to be claimed by anyone... Just kidding. You can even dress up your KAK in ways you'd never before thought possible! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- V. Frequently Asked Questions ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: I've missed one! Can I go back and get it? A: Depends on whether you have saved or if the game has autosaved since you passed it's location. If so, then no. The only thing you can do is go through Konquest mode again to get the one (or ones) you missed. Sorry, no backtracking on this game. However, if you haven't you can "Restart From Last Save" from the pause menu, and you can go back through the level to get it. Q: If I die, do I have to get the relics again? A: Nope. If you die, even if you haven't reached another checkpoint yet, your relics will always carry over. Unless you turn off the game without saving your progress at all, then you will only have to pick up a relic once. Q: If I missed one my first time through do I have to get all of the relics again the second time? A: Nope. If you miss one, you only need to worry about finding it. All the ones you got on your first trip will still be there. Q: I've been using the Prima Guide, but I'm missing 4 relics! What gives? A: Prima is lazy. I haven't seen a fully complete guide by them in years. But, the ones that are missing are: Hotaru's flag, located in the Temple of Argus, Havik's Mask, located in Arctika, Bo Rai Cho's Jug, located in Shinnok's Spire, and Reiko's Chest plate, located in Shao Khan's Fortress. Thanks to Tanya Stevens for telling me about this, and telling me which ones were missing. Q: Where is Smoke's cigarette? A: Been reading Prima's guide again have you? :) There is no Smoke's Cigarette relic. Smoke's Cigarette is actually Smoke's Mask now. Midway must have decided to change it before the game came out. I don't know why, though. I thought "Smoke's Cigarette" was kinda funny. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- VI. Kredits ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A big thanks goes to XavierKnight4d and HotGamer90 for helping me find the ones I missed the first time, and to XavierKnight4d again for providing me with a very helpful list. And of course, thanks to Midway for making this awesome game. If you would like to use this FAQ on your website or FAQ then you may do so, as long as you give credit where it's due Any questions or comments e-mail me at wilhitewarrior@yahoo.com, but please make sure you have read the FAQ carefully before you e-mail me with a question that is already answered, and please, don't e-mail to tell me I misspelled a word or used improper grammar or something. If you can understand what it says, it doesn't matter. Also, don't e-mail me to flame and insult me. I don't want to hear that either. Thanks for reading my FAQ and enjoy MK Armageddon!
