Chinese old people sabotage mass vaccination

Chinese authorities are paying people over 60 to get vaccinated
against COVID-19, but they are in no hurry to get vaccinated.
On November 29, China‘s National Health Commission
announced a campaign to boost vaccination rates among the
elderly.
China has kept the number of cases low for two years with
a "zero covid” strategy that has seen millions of people
quarantined in their homes.
Now that the country is moving away from this approach, it is
facing widespread outbreaks.
In Beijing, the authorities promise people over 60 up to 500
yuan for a course of vaccination. However, the elderly
are afraid of the potential side effects of the Chinese vaccine.
Significantly, the government has not released the results
of trials of the drug in people aged 60 and over.
