Schmitz Apple has released [1]AirPort Base Station Firmware Update 7.7.2 for AirPort Extreme and AirPort Time Capsule base stations with 802.11ac that were released earlier this year (see '[2]Apple Releases Longer-lasting MacBook Air, Faster AirPort,' 10 June 2013). The update fixes a bug that prevented a USB hard drive connected to an AirPort Extreme from being recognized as an available disk for Time Machine, resolves a problem that caused intermittent loss in WAN connectivity, and addresses an issue that could result in a network loop. You will need to update your AirPort base station using AirPort Utility via either your Mac or an iOS device with the free [3]AirPort Utility app installed (the download isn't available via the Apple Support Web page).
