Italian Stuns in 100-Meter Sprint

   UsainBolt once tightlyheld on to the mantleof World's Fastest Man in
   hislightening quicksprintsat multiple Olympic Games.

   That mantlenow, however,has passed on toaTexas-born
   Italian--26-year-oldLamontMarcell Jacobswho finished the100-meterrace
   in 9.8 seconds,clinching Italy's first medal in the event.

   "I mean, 9.8 from the Italian guy?" Canada's Andre DeGrasse said. "I
   didn't expect that. I thought my main competition would be the
   Americans." DeGrasse won abronzein the sprint with a time of9.89.

   American Fred Kerley who finishedsecond for the silverin 9.84 seconds,
   saidof Jacobs:"I really don't know anything about him."

   They know now that Jacobs roundly beat them and took home the gold.

   her eyes offthe prize,recovering quickly. She got upand ran
