Weather Situation
A broad low pressure trough over the west will deepen today, drawing heat and
moisture into the State as a low and cold front develops to the south. The
trough will push into the northeast during the first half of this week.
Meanwhile, a high pressure ridge will build across the west and south.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 21 December
Cloudy. High chance of showers. A thunderstorm likely, possibly severe with
damaging winds and heavy, possibly intense rain which may lead to flash
flooding. Winds west to northwesterly 25 to 40 km/h decreasing to 15 to 20 km/h
in the late evening.

Forecast for Monday 22 December
Partly cloudy. High chance of showers in the north, slight chance elsewhere.
The chance of a thunderstorm. Thunderstorms possibly severe with damaging
winds, large hail and heavy rain which may lead to flash flooding. Winds west
to northwesterly 15 to 20 km/h turning southwesterly 15 to 25 km/h during the
morning and early afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling to between 15 and
21 with daytime temperatures reaching 27 to 34.
