Weather Situation
A broad low pressure trough over the west will deepen on Sunday, drawing heat
and moisture into the State as a low and cold front develops to the south. The
trough will push into the northeast early in the new working week. Following
this, a high pressure ridge will build across the west and south early next
week.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 21 December
Cloudy. Very high chance of rain, becoming less likely this evening.
Thunderstorms potentially severe with damaging, possibly destructive winds,
large hail and heavy, possibly intense rain which may lead to flash flooding.
Winds northerly 15 to 25 km/h increasing to 25 to 40 km/h in the morning then
shifting west to southwesterly 20 to 30 km/h during the afternoon and evening.
Daytime maximum temperatures 30 to 35.
