Mom got out of the hospital on the 22nd.  On the 21st (her
birthday) she found out she has a form of cancer called 
myeodyplastic syndrome.  I've never heard of it but it's one
of the many types of blood cancers that are out there, starting
in the bone marrow.

Of course its part of life to lose one's parents, but now that
the end seems closer for my mom, it really hurts.  She's 
depressed and scared.  I just pray that we can have her around for
as long as possible and that she does not suffer too much.
