I've just spent some time setting up a package called vimwiki, to use as
a place to keep track of things, including my schedule and my todo list.

I have tried every single bit of technology there is for organizing.  
Nothing ever works for me because I am too damn lazy.  What I need is
literally a person or AI to just keep track of all my work, emails, etc.,
and plan out my days for me.  Since that'll never happen, I need to
figure out some way of doing that.

One thing I do is keep things on my server, and use command line and text
file whenever I can.  Sometime I think I should just cave in and use Google
or IBM or Microsoft or whoever's cloud tools and just have it all on the
cloud and my phone.  But I've been through too many tech changes in my
life and I know that eventually, a tool is going to be changed or gone. So
my strategy there is simply to keep as much as possible in text files and
use simple software to manage everything.  

We'll see how it turns out.
