FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!

Today was the first day of school for our not-quite-four-year-old boy. 
He's attending the Acorn School in San Antonio.  We've had him on the
waiting list since before he was born, and he just now got in for this
year!  

For this first day, the school allowed parents to be there for the entire
session.  Our son inherited his mom's shyness and spent the first 30
minutes or so crying and telling us he did not want to do anything that the
other kids were doing.  I was getting a bit upset and it was clear to me
that my sweetie was also getting upset, but we both finally just decided to
relax and we told him to relax as well.  After that things seemed to go
pretty well.  One more for the parenting memories!

His teachers are "Mrs. Sudie" and "Mrs. Julie".  They are both seasoned
professionals with about 50 years of teaching experience between them. 
They are exceptionally kind, both to our son and also to us.
