# Install F-droid

F-Droid is an app store for Android that contains only free and open source software. It respects user privacy, unlike Google Play. F-Droid is licensed under the AGPLv3+.

## Install F-Droid

# Use your phone's browser to visit [[https://f-droid.org]]\\

# Download the apk. If you see a warning, tap `OK`.

# Open the apk.

  # If your browser warns that your `your phone is not allowed to install unknown apps from this source`, tap `Settings`.\\

# Tap `Install` at the bottom right corner.\\

# When F-droid first loads, it will automatically update its software repositories. **NOTE**: This will require internet access.\\
