/pub/idgames/lmps archive maintainer: thldrmn@archives.3dgamers.com ***************************************************************************** ************************** NEW POLICY: 1995/06/22 ************************** All files MUST have an accompanying .txt file. Contest files should include the one from the contest's web site. All non-contest files must include a .txt files based on the LMP template that can be found in lmps/forms/lmp_template.txt. You must include the following info in any .txt file: Game (Doom, Ultimate Doom, Doom2, Final Doom, Heretic, etc.) Version (1.8, 1.9, etc.) Name of PWAD(s) required (if any) Your name Your email address Description of the LMP If you find your upload in the 'badzips' directory, it means there was a problem with the zipfile and you should re-upload. For those of you that are *nix savvy and care about the details, it technically means that I ran the command 'unzip -t' on the file and it returned a nonzero exitcode. If you find your upload in the 'notxt' directory, it means you either didn't upload a text file, or you didn't upload one with the same name as the ZIP file. If you see your upload in there, but you can also see your text file that you uploaded in the incoming/ directory (which will happen if you did upload one, but with the wrong name), you can probably leave it and be OK. If you didn't upload a .txt file at all, you need to resubmit *both* files, making sure that the .zip file is *exactly* the same as it was when you uploaded it the first time (these measures are to keep people from uploading .txt files to match other people's orphaned ZIP files). They have to be uploaded at the same time so I know they came together, and the ZIP file has to be identical so I can check it with the previous upload. ***************************************************************************** ***************************************************************************** ********************** NOTICE TO COMPET-N PARTICIPANTS ********************** Entries for COMPET-N are no longer being accepted at ftp.cdrom.com, as the contest's coordinator has decided to handle uploads himself. Please DO NOT upload your COMPET-N files here. This is the address to upload the files to: ftp://ftp.sch.bme.hu/pub/compet-n/incoming *****************************************************************************
