subj: family gathering nancy

We had a nice family gather for the celebration of life for
Nancy. Allen and Nancy were married 61 years. They were/are my
heroes in terms of longevity and just as people. 

For this event family came over to our house in the morning. It
started with the grandparents, and that is always a treat seeing
my wife's parents. They are such good people and I love being
around them, and seeing them with our children. Then cousins
came by to join us. We all got to hang out, and because we are
with new fresh babies, everyone was happy to see the new family
members. I got to talk about cycling and bikes with our cousin,
and he shared some of his recent rides and bikes. 

Later we all got to go to the park for the celebration and meet
more family and friends. Again the babies were a big deal over
there. Everyone liked to see my son and daughter. My wife got to
hang out with people she hadn't seen in a while with her son,
and I talked with new faces. The new faces shared information
and tips, from their experience with twins. Their sons are
fraternal twins at age 15. The entire event was really nice and
Nancy would have loved that. We got to hear and share stories of
Nancy. She was a wonderful lady, who made people feel welcome.
She was a dedicated wife, mother, auntie, and friend. 

I was so happy at the end of the day to be part of it all, and
be there with my wife, son, and daughter.
