subj: twins starting to have more personality ---------------------------------------------------------- My babies are past two months now. They've changed so much since their birth. Its really amazing, and its happening so fast. They are starting to develop more personality. They seem to recognize their parents. My son is such a good boy. He is usually very relaxed if he isn't in pain from gas, hungry, or tired. I think of him has happy. I would like to call him happy. I once had a friend named happy. He gets hungry and I put his binky in his mouth, and I tell him hold that for me. He does and he tries his hunger while I heat up a bottle. I tell him hold it, I'm heating up the bottle. He seems like he knows this process, and although he is really hungry he works on his binky and sometimes complains a bit, but most times he is good and waits for the bottle. If he is getting to the edge of his patients, when he see the bottle he calms down. His smile is heart warming. He loves to sit on my lap and pinch my hands while I rub his little belly. He sometimes just falls asleep. He seems to like this the best for taking his naps. I love seeing him be happy with my wife. She takes our babies on walks, and to activities around town. He loves seeing her, and when he sees her face she has his attention. When he is tired he likes to snuggle up on her, and he wiggles his way into a comfortable position when he is being burped so he can try to get a nap on her. In the morning when I wake up our daughter is usually awake in her swing. I say good morning baby, with a big smile, and she gets a big smile on her face, moves her head side to side a little. I sometimes put her on the couch in the corner so she can sit up with us. She sits there kicking her legs. I tell her do your bam bams. She happily kicks her little legs with her eyes wide open looking around. They both like to hear me reading to them while they sit in their bouncers. In the evening time before they get tired I read a book. I read one of their books like the Jungle Tales, a child's book with fuzzy tales they can hold. I help them grab the tale and hold it. After that I read one of my books, Dewdrops on Stinging Nettles. A book about Practicing Zen, they seem to like it as much if not more than Jungle Tales. They are starting to sleep more at night, and my son gets grumpy and sometimes cries before he lets go the day. I tell him its night night time, let today go. He's learning, and each day we are figuring out how to transmission from the day to sleeping. My daughter is also starting to sleep more at night. I send them off with a meal, and usually around 9PM they are sleeping. Although my daughter likes to stay up later watching the twilight fade. I write, or play a game, and she watches me at times. She makes little noises which seem to be directed to me, so I grab her foot or hold her arm. Aside from my beautiful wife, they are the cutest things in my world.
