Another day, but not so glorious. I had to battle the auditors
at work asking why some software was installed on a system. The
sad part is there was something changed on the system but their
report didn't show any artifacts that would point to evidence.
Nobody knows how their report is produced or why it doesn't show
any details, or indicators where or what tripped the trigger.
Just show us the approved authorization for the installed
software. Well no I won't not until you show me what to look
for. After 7 hours and 4 people later, turns out the security
group (compsec) installed the software by accident. They did
this on all systems. No approval, not notice, nothing to let
admins know after the accident software was installed. That's
how shit is today in it. They really wasted lots of our time and
only when people started turning over stones the individual
comes out. The funny thing is compsec is the group to
investigate unauthorized changes. Seems a bit borked to me. 


It was a good night to walk. I love this time of year, very
cold, very dry, very clear skies. A full moon as well. It would
have been a great night for a bike ride, but I didn't have time
for it tonight, I'm hoping tomorrow the skies will be clear and
the moon will be out lighting the roads enough to create a
shadow of me. Its cold enough for cold therapy, and although my
walk I didn't get as much as I should have, if I lucky tomorrow
during a bike ride it will be perfect. 

Its also a great time of year and great year to see some of the
planets; like, Venus, Jupiter, Mars. 

I hope to get a little more time not doing anything but riding
or walking. Nothing more than that, not thinking, not listening,
just one mind.
