Hello, I'm Solon, or Sakura, or TeraDyne, though I also
go by Gallows Gryph in many places. I'm dragonkin, kitten
and fox therian, and non-binary (it/they/them).

## Author and Reader ##

I'm an aspiring author with an interest in the solarpunk,
lunarpunk, science fiction, fantasy, and sci-fantasy
themes. I mostly focus on furry erotica, but I have other
projects that are a bit less adult in that regard.

For my reading topics, I enjoy sci-fi, fantasy, and
sci-fantasy settings, cosy mysteries, certain YA romance
authors, and virtually anything by Janet Ivanovitch. I also
enjoy Japanese light novels and manga, as well as
furry-oriented fiction and short stories, with a majority
of my collection being made up of DRM-free ebooks. Some of
my favorites include *Wings of Fire*, *Warrior Cats*, and
the *Quintaglio Ascension* trilogy.


## Old Tech Enthusiast ##

I have a love of vintage and retro tech, mostly from the
Macintosh and IBM PC (and compatible) stuff between the
1980s and 2010s.

My daily driver is a mid-2009 MacBook Pro running Mac OS X
10.6.8 (Snow Leopard), along with Windows XP and Vista,
among others. I also use a secondary laptop (not listed
below) running Windows 7, a dedicated Windows XP laptop,
and a couple of older towers.


## Smolweb/Smolnet Enthusiast ##

I'm a fan of the 90s and 2000s web, disliking most of what
the modern web (and web apps) offer in comparison. I look
forward to the progress of recreating MSN Messenger/Windows
LIVE Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, AOL Instant Messenger,
ICQ, and others.

I tend to minimize or exclude use of JavaScript--especially
modern JavaScript--with making pages. I have some knowledge
of ECMAScript 2009, some knowledge of Perl CGI scripting,
and a little experience with PHP. I also have an obsession
with 88x31 buttons, DeviantArt Stamps, banners, and
blinkies.

I like the protocols used by the smolnet, such as Gopher,
FTP, NNTP, Fido, IRC, and XMPP. I also love MUD/MUCK/MOO
systems, and appreciate Gemini and other efforts to make
smaller communities that aren't on the world wide web.


## Retro and Semi-retro Gaming ##

While I have a modern gaming rig, my favorite games are
those from the 90s, 2000s, and 2010s. I mostly play console
and handheld games from the time, though I also love a
number of PC games as well. While my favorite platforms are
the Game Boy Advance and GameCube, I also play everything
from the NES and Game Boy, up until those two platforms,
when it comes to the Nintendo side of things. I also enjoy
the TurboGraphix 16/PC Engine, the Sega Master System,
Genesis/Mega Drive, Sega Saturn, Dreamcast, Game Gear,
Lynx, Jaguar, NeoGeo, NeoGeo Pocket (Color), Wonderswan,
Playstation, Playstation 2, and Playstation Portable.

Some of my favorite games and series include Pokémon,
Digimon, Super Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Gladius/Parodius,
Final Fantasy, 政権伝説 (Seiken Densetsu)/Mana series, SaGa,
Neutopia, Star Trek: Armada, Starfleet Command,
Star Trek: Birth of the Federation,
Raptor: Call of Shadows, ZZT, Animal Crossing, Mega Man
(X, Zero, Battle Network), and Age of Empires.
