The Zen garden is still there

I just realised I have not written much in the last two years (sic!).
The last post in my phlog is dated 20201230. This does not mean that I
have disappeared from the Small Internet. Quite the opposite. Most of
2021 was dedicated to make grow The Soviet, the third Circumluar colony.
But after that I really disconnected a bit from the gopherspace, and
only checked in once in a while, reading stuff on the usual phlogs, but
not being able to find anything interesting to write about. I guess it's
somehow normal.

The main reason for this iatus is a shift of interests towards ham radio
and CW (radiotelegraphy). I got a ham license between May and June 2021,
and then dived in to learn CW, and I have had a blast. Nevertheless,
this place is the only digital environment where I really feel at home. 

I found something I had written some time ago: 

  "The Gopherspace is a timeless Zen garden. Gopher posts will remain there
   forever. Or at least for a vastly large amount of time, compared to the
   ephemeral lifespan of the regurgitations seen on large-scale anti-social
   Luna Parks."

Well, I must say that this little involuntary experiment has confirmed
to me that what I wrote is not far from reality: it feels like no time
has passed. The gopherspace is still there, with more or less all the
phlogs I used to read, and more or less the same stuff I was used to. It
is nice to come back home, realising that all your tuff was basically
waiting for you.
