!Christina's May Questions --- agk's phlog 18 May 2021 @ 1215 --- written on Pinebook Pro after getting home from West Virginia where Cassie and I stayed in a bed and breakfast --- Cassie's answers to Christina's May five questions. gemini://gemini.circumlunar.space/~christina/ 1. What's on your bedside table? A lamp, a jar of bookmarks, a selection of science fiction, fantasy, and philosophy, and a box of dicks, large. 2. Five items you "can't" live without. - Laptop (because I'm a writer). - First aid kit, because I'm a packrat who used to be a DM [dungeon master]. - Something for music: phone, TV, CD player. - Something to read, usually some kind of science fiction, fantasy, or social work-related nonsense. - A necklace. 3. What are some words or phrases specific to where you live? As in, where I live, or where I'm from? I'm going to go with where I'm from because Damn. I mean, I still don't understand what fussin means so I can't claim Kentucky. Coon huntin. That dog don't hunt. If bullfrogs had wings they wouldn't bump their ass every time they jump. Useta could ("I don't play guitar much but I usedta could.") Whenever I was five--I *still* tell time in stories that way. Y'haven't changed a lick ("You look good Leslie!" "And y'haven't changed a lick"). 4. What are your healthiest habits? Regular masturbation, tea as meditation, exquisite sleep hygeine, and I keep a gratitude journal. That's all I got. 5. What are the rewarding aspects of your job? You're not putting my last name on this? Good. Going in every day to a place I couldn't leave of my own volition and helping other people get out of it. Smiling at people who don't get a lot of smiles in their lives, and when they genuinely smile back. Engaging with administration even when it's frustrating, and giving a voice to staff and patients who don't get that voice otherwise.
